I understand perfectly, and you are right. This is something I've struggled with throughout my life, but I've gotten better at being more assertive and standing up for myself, even though it makes people mad, but so what?! And I know how my temper can get, and I hold all that back, cause I know all the consequences would just fall on me. But still, finding a middle ground is important. I always wondered why people would call me intimidating, stuck up or they thought I didn’t like them… nothing personal, fam. Yes! It’s an achievement; it is our growth and progression embodied. I got into orchids about 2 years ago when I had trouble at my PWI during my junior. I don’t make bank but spending more on something like this for myself was big for me. The most I spent was $85 on an orchid for myself and the shipping was $25. I recognize that there are issues with introverted Black women. I happen to be an introverted Black male. This is an issue with have to deal with as well.
