First off, do NOT use water. If the injector seals (plastic rings around injector) are not tight, the water will get into the engine and start rusting. If you have to check it, use a thin oil.

Why in my mainfold there is a lot of oil?

mine HDI injector spill lot of diesel fuel out even it have all seals !! was it because injector hole are not clean or?

I own a mercedes benz slk my engine broke because of these flaps one of em fell down to the the pistons n caused engine damage so i had to replace my engine, before i installed the new engine i removed the flaps completely from the intake manifold so i don't fall on the same trap twice, the car even breathe n response better than ever!

The oil heat exchange can also perforate, letting oil enter the cooling system. Which can make you worry that you may have a dodgy cylinder head gasket. Luckily its located on the front of the engine, and is easyish to swap over. It includes the oil filter assembly.

Using the correct blue Mercedes coolant would help prevent this problem.

Hello, the engine of that little one is broken, it braked, it turned off the check lamp, but the diagnostics show an error that when it starts, the car won't go over 3000 revolutions, is that why the engine computer has that error? but the check engine does not light up

During installtion of the timing cover, can you please explain the procedures you followed to make sure the head gasket was not wrinkled ? Did you have to remove the upper oil pan ?

How does this problem present in symptoms in a modern diesel. Will it affect data across modules?

My 55 is doin the same thing I thought it would be a head gasket issue but this video is putting me at ease

My 250 cdi had injector issues. Then I filled the tank with Total Fina diesel. They sell only one high grade diesel mix. My car immediately ran smoother and quieter and no more surprise injector problems. Now I only use Total Fina And the car loves it. Now, at 225k km, its time to pull, clean, and re-seat all four. The injectors are fine. Just micro-leaks at the copper seal. I'm going to let mercedes do the work for the warranty and they are really good and thorough.

It's funny that on such a stout engine I am able to find so many connectors that break way too easy if you so much as look at them. Really weird period for Mercedes.

Actually what he should have done before even removing injector. You take to a car wash and pressure wash top of engine, buy a can of engine cleaner spray on top of head, let it soak for 5-7 min. Then rense with high pressure washer. I owen a MB 300SD 1983 turbo diesel. I perform all my maintence. His method of locating leaking copper ring, is fine, I use a spray can of carburator cleaner.

I was told not to wash my Mercedes V6 engine in my E320 with degreaser because of the engine metal used by Mercedes it reacts with degreaser and makes it brittle ? Is that true ?

Excellent presentation. However I don't understand why you changed those 2 gaskets in the Timing Cover. You mentioned that the in the Timing Cover compartment there's less pressure than in the combustion chamber. I agree to that, but, then, you having oil in the coolant, you should have changed the head gaskets. Why I m saying this? Because oil goes to water, not the other way around! And oil goes from the higher pressure into the coolant! Don't understand which indicator showed you is the two gaskets in the Oil Timing Belt Compartment into the Coolant! Once again, your video is TOP, only this indicator question

Water testing, interest idea I'll check that way too. I replaced the fuel lines and smell went away, cleaned up the whole area but after a short drive found diesel fuel on top of one injector. Also today saw a drop come off the front of the fuel pump which is a bigger concern TDI ALH
