Love this review. But the audio is hard to hear.

I’ve been a horror lit fanatic my entire life, but man, this book stuck with me in such a visceral way. I read it first when I was 19 and the imagery lodged itself deep (no pun intended) in my brain. It feeds into so many primal and inherent human fears, but the part that ruined me the most was the idea that his sweet, innocent son was stuck in that warped underwater world for years as MC looked for him. Good lord, I don’t even have children yet but it gave me the deepest chills.

I wanted to listen to a review so that I would be ready for Valor. Not crazy about the folks here sharing their opinion on liking the book or not. Would have preferred a straight up recap of the book

I just finished malice last night will begin Valor sometime tonight malice was excellent some pacing issues but it's the author's first book ever, sometimes during y'alls discussion I question if your friend really read the book he knew things I don't know weird video love the good opinion about the book and I love the bad opinion too I just felt like one of you didn't read it and kind of just did research I don't know just me I'm probably wrong either way great video

I thought Dr Hugo Toy's death was so graphic and horrifying. Nick Cutter spent about 5 pages describing his death in full detail. I couldn't get the disgusting image out of my head for days.

I kept wanting these guys to kiss. Lobe thier chemistry

So glad to see someone reviewing this one when everyone else only talks about the troop. In my opinion this is better

The second book is so much better

I think the most horrifying thing in this book was the adults at the end. They were more than willing to sacrifice those kids without even once giving any information away. Some of the parents tried to help but it was like everyone and their mothers were against them. Also we don't know what happened to the others who testified against that doctor. There was some clear obstruction of justice going on.

This is a good idea. Because some times I might hate a book and stop reading it but I want someone to spoil it for me just so I know how the book ends. This channel has a good future.

Just finished this book. Hmm very interesting. If these creatures were already on the surface (when they apparently captured his son), why did they need Luke to spread them or whatever. I dunno. Thought it was really good till the last 10 pages. Seeing his brothers memories at the end was really good

@Kieth Shadows whole character is he is a nobody, someone completely forgettable with no clear idea of who he is or what he wants... sort of like a Shadow of a person. The foreword specifically warns that the author wanted to write a lomg meandering book, and he certainly did. Really liked the book as a series of character studies. I'm 100% on board with Chris here.

I agree with you on lots of things and I think I may end up on a 8/10 stars ⭐ The characters were so interesting! Aaand I was also annoyed with the fact that they kind of spoiled things throughout the book. That was one of my main issues with it. I would like to be more surprised, but I felt that I knew what was going to happen very often. But yeah, great book! 🌷

I finished it in about 2 hours ago... to be honest I started to read it yesterday evening and I took this day off just to finish it (after several hours of sleeping). It has become member of my top 5 horror novels list.

I do think there is better story in all the characters but I do like Neil Gamen and American Gods I’m a big fan but I do think most of his stuff I would like to rewrite most of his stories!🤯🔫🧠
