So as an upcoming artist what’s the best route to choose, I don’t wanna sign a label but I don’t wanna get my music on a platform it won’t be appreciated on I wanna bring that whole music is meaning memo, but I fear if I get it into the wrong platforms idk how much they’ll actually pay per thousand-millions of views bc I haven’t even started realeasing bc I fear it won’t get the right recognizition bc it is my music not the platforms
It’s a new song every couple days or a every day so I believe in my ability to get it reacted to but I don’t want bad recoginizition or a negative persona built bc I got the media all mixed up bc of the platform I’m on.. I don’t wanna spam music and beg for attention but I feel it should be heard so the platform I choose I feel will severely effect my fanbase, SoundCloud I’ve heard is consistent with pay so I just want a little advice on the right way to go bc it would suck to see my music flop bc I made the wrong choice in the industry

someone educate me, what does he mean by the money from streaming is huge? I was told Spotify and streaming platforms only pay like a few dollars of thousand streams? or there are other income? help!!
he basically means, that if you have a lots of streams you will keep the whole percentage (if you own your masters). If you’re signed to a Label you would only receive a low percentage of the actual income (depending on your deal). The payout from streaming services are always the same. Hope I could help you a lil ;)
if you get a billion streams paid at like 0.004 cents per stream you'll still make a lot of money! but the label would take a lot making it 0.001 for you or what have you
