I CANT SEE THE VIDEO! TURN YOUR PHONE SIDEWAYS TO RECORD A VIDEO!
Thank you for this video, huge money saver! Can you make a video on that platform you made?
@@edemup44 I'm thinking making another platform with some new features. I'll be sure to video the whole process when I do. Thank you for watching and good luck!
I have installed JDM engine. Extremely satisfying experience with the JDM engines. My car head gasket blew at 422k km on 2010 prius. I did it in Toronto.
Hi there !Great video.I want you re knowledge. Is it a good choice this sight to use it on my recurve hunting bow 40lb?Since the best distance for recurve is about 20yds for hunt,is this a good choice u think? The first pin can be used for the first 10 yds and every pin for the next 10yds,right?
@@ΠΑΝΑΓΙΩΤΗΣΧΩΡΑΪΤΗΣ I don't believe this would be a good system for a recurve. With recurve the draw weight is dependent on how far you pull back and can vary slightly with each shot unless you have the perfect anchor every time. With compound the draw weight is consistent. The automatic pin gapping requires a consistent draw weight to work properly.
@EngineeredOutdoors I think its true, but I m not in the trad archery.I could use a clicker for best results and I'm already use a sight for 20 and 30 yds. Thanks anyway for you re answer :)
I do this also, been great for about 2 years and can do with my mission, onyx or solo scout platform depending which one I want for a specific scenario. I use a two step aider (3 step only helps you get maybe one foot higher on the first move only and not helpful once in tree for subsequent moves), I also use a handle at the top of the platform to make it easier to get from aider to platform. I also use an actual rappel rope (not a short tether and madrock safeguard so I can just rap when done. If I dropped the platform( never have) just rappel down grab and climb back up. Total weight is like 5 pounds plus what ever your platform weighs. I should just learn how to post vids and go through my setup. Thanks for posting this!
Any updates? Hows the motor? Are there any codes that pop up after a swap?
@@mjuhanil there were not any codes after install. We were able to drive the car no problems until end of July when someone slammed 60mph into the back of the car while stopped to turn..This totalled the car. The JDM engine was great for us.
@@EngineeredOutdoors Oh no. My 2011 has 453,000km on it and the head gasket is blown so I'm looking at a JDM engine too. Thanks for the info
Appreciate the info got 2 tires on a riding mower that need help if i can find saw dust im going to try this out. Thankyou and God bless you for sharing 🙏
That's awesome. Where did you get that boss tractor?
"anything where we have a big voltage drop on our system".. low voltage can cause anything to shut down when you run out of "gas"... Fix the cause.
In what I have read also, if you use 14 gauge wire, you won't have that problem.
Does the out on the regulator go to the marine battery or the fish finder
@@Arcturian1111 output goes to the sonar.
I have the same problem with a 90 horse Yamaha main motor. Humminbird does not think they have a problem. My next problem is that when it shuts off it does not want to come back on. I have to unplug it and plug it back in and then it usually comes back on.
Cool pink, to see if you have a major leak! But seriously, thanks. Old tiller tires needed help, but had lots of tread. Painted it inside (because they’re not going to turn rapidly enough to spread well).
Watch (Climbing Platform??) or my one stick video (ONE STICKING) to get the most out of that Platform.
preaty neat! thank you. i like it better than the puffs
Use Loctite PL roof black urethane. Sticks to anything and is like windshield adhesive, liquid air moisture hardening curing rubberized plastic
Genius. Hacksaw would work great too if you don't have a file
The cams on the BT are newer technology than that mathews
Thank you. I had no idea how to get that guide pin out. Here we go. Wish me luck
What's the Antifreeze liquid pls??
Ethylene glycol or propylene glycol that is used in auto radiator.
@@EngineeredOutdoors thanks 👍
Please send me 3 liquid name
So are JDM's used or rebuilt motors? How many miles on it? If I had a gen 1-3 in mint condition, I'd probably drop a gen4 engine in it. I've seen it done. I sub'd & gave a 👍. And will follow as long as u have Prius videos. Thanks & great job/very clean engine bay! ANOTHER reason I sub'd.
JDM are used engines. They are imported from Japan and claim to have less than 60k miles. I swapped the Gen3 because I didn't have time to mess with the gen 4 mods needed to make it work and my overall car is showing it's age. If I had time and a lower mileage car would definitely done the Gen4 swap. Thanks for watching!
If you're taking off your windshield, why not just wrap it in a blanket and put it somewhere in your tow vehicle?
Could do that too! Just another option.
I need your help bro 😭 lol i just know basic car things and my engine threw a rod yesterday:( i did a head gasket fix a year ago and fhe thing gave out and now im sol
They also make a picatinny mount for it for the newer bows
Just bought this one. Just got my first bow and was sighting in the sight it came with. Didn't realize how flimsy and plastic it was. Bought this to replace the stock sight, and I am excited to give it a go tomorrow!
Good luck. I have love mine so far. Shot a great elk in CO and a big buck in WI since using it.
@@EngineeredOutdoors I just got one it should come tomorrow or the next day
I plan on testing and practicing this approach for this fall. The only draw back I can see is dropping the platform as you climb and being stranded up there. I'm gonna attach a little paracord between my harness and the platform as I climb for that reason.
if you have a long tether aka rappel rope, you can always rappel down and grab the platform if you drop it, then climb right back up. cant get "stuck"
@@joefreeman7681 In the half year that has passed since I commented, I've tested your method a dozen times and had no issues with dropping the platform. I do carry a rope with a single step that I could use to get out of the tree if I needed to. Thanks again.
Very interesting and informative! For a non-machinist (I'm just a homeowner) it's kind of hard to come by the technical details of shear pins. Pretty cool to see this.
amazing! luckily i just got an air fryer for christmas
That's great, have fun trying it out!
I don't get the point ; Why don't you print the part with nylon?
Two reasons: 1. I don't have nylon. 2. Wanted to see if this would work. It does, so now I don't need nylon.
I print with both nylon and tough PLA. most cases you want to use cf nylon but some tough PLA's are more impact resistant than cf nylon. So it really just depends on what you're using the part for and what you're making.

This doesn’t solve the issue of led light will die from ac power. It has to be converted and regulated to 12v dc power.
I'm confused by your comment. The stator should be producing clean 12vDC power. Where would the AC power be coming from?
Where from Chicago if you don’t mind me asking , thanks!

Can you show how to fix a tear. I'm not sure what you was talking about fixing it with a urethane. I have a small tear in my neoprene mucks and have been trying to figure out how to fix it. Thanks for the vid.
Urethane is a glue you can buy that is specifically made to repair waders. Aqua seal is one brand. You can also use dap contact cement.
I never thought of using a temporary 12 volt source when changing a battery. Lesson for the day has been learned.
Isn't that way too hot for annealing? I thought I read maybe 140 F to 350 degrees.
I climbing stand is so much quicker than this.
I agree, but I don't use this method in the same areas as I would use a climber. Both have very different applications for me.
Man if you dropped your platform it would be an adventure getting down.
Great info in this video… just moving from climber to saddle hunting and didn’t wanna spend 1k just to get into it. Really useful stuff here man!
I was wondering if climbing spikes would work but i guess you'd have to take them off once you got settled into youre platform then put em back on when you decide to leave sounds like it could be a hassle but i have no idea how awkward or difficult putting spikes on is ive never used them before but if they are easy to put on and off maybe ill give them a try😊
Some guys use them, but they are illegal on public lands where I hunt.
Great job very good will get my kit-thanks for the video
Thank you for the feedback. Glad you found this useful!
It’s way to much movement compared to using sticks…with aiders….not for me..but it’s another good idea
Great video-thanks. I just bought a used one with records and the brakes were replaced every year-I took it apart and the pin was seized.
This is the best idea i've seen for the lw sit and climb. I was mainly discouraged about the packing in and out with the factory seat. Way too many straps and noise. Would you please demonstrate how you pack in and out? After seeing your mods, I am sure I could take a few of your packing tips to use with mind. Thanks!
Excellent. Thank you.
What kind of gas mileage are you getting
49-51mpg pretty good for 13 years old!
I’ve gone completely SRT 1/2 rope & now leave the sticks at home! I get to my tree, & within a couple minutes, I’m ascending my climbing rope with my ascender, girth hitched to the tree. When ready to leave, I simply lower my gear & platform, repel down the rope, pack my gear & retrieve the rope with the paracord attached to the girth hitch loop, place my rope back in my pack and I’m gone, leaving only the preset paracord for next time. So far, I’m very happy with this system!
Nice system, sounds efficient as well. Best of luck!
I bought that same sight, had it for about 24 hrs. The Allen screw that adjusts the 30, 40 and 50 yard pins made a very loud vibration noise when I shot. Took it back where I bought it and he said it must be a manufacturer defect. I'd really like another one. Have you had any noise with this sight?
I have not noticed any noise from the sight. I will for sure be listening for any changes over time. Thanks for the message and good luck!
