I have over 20 years of experience and knowledge in audio visual, technology and media broadcasting. An Award-Winning Audio-Visual and broadcasting professional from Dublin Ireland with AVIXA CTS® and IMPA® - D accreditation.
I've worn many hats in my radio career from researcher, sound technician and producer to owning an award winning online media outlet for the Scout Movement now in the 15th year of broadcast.
I have worked in the Audio Visual Industry for over 15 years providing professional AV Installations, Maintenance, Event Management, Audio Video Production & Editing and end user support. I am one of no more than 20 Irish people to have gained my CTS Qualification from AVIXA.
More recently I produce and present an Irish AV and technology podcast called All Things TechIE available to view on UA-cam or download wherever you get your podcasts.

How do you share your screen on Portal+?
If you mean in the Zoom app, you must make sure that you are connected to the same wifi network and that the settings are permitted within zoom for sharing. If the host is not set to the portal device this may block the sharing. Contact me directly for more tips

Hi Marcy. You can only join a meeting or start a new meeting from the portal. To schedule you would need to log into your Zoom portal on a PC.

It's great to see Kevin still active in the industry, even post retirement. I had some amazing experiences working with him on some of the projects he mentioned.
I wish I was 40 years younger & had this opportunity, I got into the industry via the traditional "runner" route & learnt as I went along & by the seat of my pants...it would have been nice to have some element of formal training...this is a wonderful opportunity for people just starting out.

Can you add background filters/blur your background on Zoom using Portal?
You can add virtual backgrounds. This is the set virtual backgrounds by Zoom or you can add your own by going to your profile at Zoom's website and into settings and managing your virtual backgrounds there. Unfortunately you cant blur your background. Hope this answers your question.

Hi Ray, thanks for your question. On the portal, I would recommend you installing the app. If your asking how to join a zoom meeting without the desktop app, you can use the weblink or through your browser.
