Crock Pot Bottom Round Roast
Slow cook bottom round roast in it's own juices. Only seasoning is the onion soup mix. No liquid added. Meat was just a little dry, but just dipped in the juice and it was darn good.

Season Steak Before or After Cooking?

I've seen this test done before but never tried it myself. In all there was only a light difference in the seasoning flavor between the 2 steaks. Maybe if the steaks were grilled instead of pan cooked there might be more difference. Might try that next time.

Most of the seasoning you put on the first steak, got lost in the oil in the pan. Yet on the second steak you dump all the seasoning right on top of it. Of course it will taste saltier. You should've just seasoned the steak with a pinch of salt and pepper at most at the end.

Personally, if I had to choose between the two, definitely a ribeye everytime. That being said, they’re both still amazing cuts of steak. Good steak is good steak, regardless of the cut.

I recently ran into a frozen pizza problem where through a series of events caused by my own stupidity the frozen pizza I was supposed to bake had thawed. This frozen pizza was a rising crust one and because of the way it was made the dough was not solid so I scooted it onto a pan and made the cheese relatively even before putting it in the oven and watching it like a hawk until I thought it looked done. Currently eating it as of writing this and it tastes like a slightly worse version of itself so overall it will be alright as long as I don't get food poisoning.

Hey, don’t ever put a steak back in the refrigerator as you’re waiting for the grill to heat up. Always keep that steak out on the counter for 10 minutes or more, which will cause the steak to cook correctly. If you throw a cold steak in the grill, that’s not a good thing.

    • @martyure

wow.. this just happened to me. i had 22 lbs of prime rib in my Camp Chef Woodwind DLX, and I turned it on High for over an hour, because i wanted to sear the outside and get a nice crispy bark, to be a dichotomy with the soft, tender medium-rare center. Essentially, I went out to check on it and smoke was pouring out of the hopper and the pellets were really hot in the hopper.. like starting to discolor. so i turned it off and finished the prime ribs in the oven, and I let the smoker cool. Im going to drain the pellets and vacuum out the dust, and hopefully im all good!! It seems like this only happeneds when ppl run the thing on high for a while.. just a word to the wise.

I remembered that you really loved It's Incredible and then the thought occurred to that I hadn't seen any of your videos pop up in a while and so I came to your channel and found out you hadn't done a video in a year. Thanks Michael. We're doing fine. Haven't done vids in a while cause our eating habits have changed quite a bit. I still cook, just not as adventurous as before and actually kinda boring if you had to watch it. Still use your 'It's Incredible' seasoning. This is our go-to seasoning for everything because of the reduced salt and it tastes really good on everything.

My hopper caught fire 2 days in a row. It almost burned my house down tonight. I cleaned it the 1st time. The 2nd I was just trying to diagnose the issue when I noticed a large amount of smoke coming from the firebox. I walked inside to let the smoke go down. When I returned the whole hopper was in flames. It also melted a plastic bucket I had placed on the ground to catch the pellets I was trying to pour from the hopper.

I've heard that if the auger stops working or it gets stuck the fan can blow the hot pellet's back through the auger and to the hoper. I've since replaced the controller and I use the smoker at least once every 2 weeks and have had no issues since.
