That’s my truck! Same color, same roached out rockers! Do mine next, please!
agree great video
Over $500.00 for each side..... NO THANKS! 🖕
Actually, it is less than $500 for the complete kit.
Bushwackers are not ment to cover rust they are acutely considered rock sliders/rocker protectors.
Says right on their website they can be used to cover rust
@zachkowalik i haven't gotten mine yet so good to know lol
Do they make for Chevy express?
oamusa company way over price i got it for half the price for $ 249.
Quick covers 500$ Others 50$ If quick covers were 200$ I’d buy them, if your at 500$ you might as well spend 1500$ at the local truck shop and have him weld in new rockers…..
And in 2-3 years spend $2,000 to have them welded in again...
Good video
Why don't you have a link to all three?
Now your product doesn’t come with a front cab corner cover? Just curious.
Which part of the truck are you referring to? The lower part of the front fender? Right behind the front wheel?
@@zachkowalik yes
@@zachkowalik I thought it may go all the way to the wheel well
In maine. The plastic rocker panel look good but won't pass inspection sticker
same here in Nova Scotia
Wow I wonder if MA does. Maybe you can attach some galvanized roof flashing on bottom to floor? This will hide missing Rocker & stabilize the rocker. That will likely pass
@welcometoreality3450 or you could idk actually put rockers in it and fix it right.
Great video! Answered ALL my questions. I was looking at all three of these and was confused as hell. This video helped me a ton. Thanks!
You’re welcome!
Too bad they don’t make them for the 3 door silverados
Out of curiosity, have they started making them for the 98 Chevy trucks yet? If not, why the hell not? Make bank on the 98 and down as well. Well lmk, thanks and good job there.
Your site doesn't have them available anymore?
Yes, they are available here: oamusa.com/collections/1999-2006-silverado-sierra-extended-cab-4-door/products/1999-2006-silverado-sierra-extended-cab-cab-rocker-cover-kit-4-door
@zachkowalik do you have any that will fit on a 2013 chevy avalanche?
@@KStatus7 unfortunately no we do not have them for Avalanche at this time.
Can you show a link to buy these
Here’s a link to the Ford cab corner covers oamusa.com/collections/slip-on-rocker-panels-and-cab-corner-covers/products/2009-2014-f-150-crew-cab-cover-kit
why do you guys make covers for every model besides the single cab 2008-14 I wish I could use this for my truck but
How fast does it ship to Canada mb
What color is good truck? Mine is the same and nobody can tell me what it is. Key fob said metallic silver storm or something
please make them for 1994 gmc truck I would buy them tomorrow. Good video
Where I can other those rockers covers looks awesome
Amazon
Just bought a Reg Cab 2014 Silverado/66,000 miles, think I got a decent deal HOWEVER, the rockers were intact paint bubbling not not falling off and showing the rust yet. Question is, should I grind and prime and paint on the rockers before I put the covers on? I feel pretty scared that I just threw $12,000 at a truck. The cost of having them cut out and replaced by a body shop is about $3500 per side. For $19,000 I could have bought a truck that was in much better shape. I really hope you respond.
These are a good fix .....cut the rot out first....treat rust/prevent then slip these on
This seems like a good idea to put over rockers not rusted if you live in north country where rust is guaranteed
I was pricing out new trucks with the features I have to ditch my trucks rust problems. I was shocked. Looking at about 800-1000 a month for an XLT super crew cab 4x4. And not a V8 (old reliable). Interest rates are insane. Plus the thought of climbing back up payment mountain. Id rather shell out cash for this solution. Mine has 100K and mechanically runs like champ. Truck prices these days plus high interest rates lead me here.
why would the grease be applied before the rust protector.
They do look good on the trucks but my only issue with them is when a auto dealer uses these to screw someone unexpected of these. My dad bought a truck thinking it was a nice clean truck with these and undercoat all underneath. And in less then 6months of having it the truck fell apart. He gave 13k for a truck that wasn’t worth more then 3000
I have a 2014 ford f150 how much
Please let me know if they go on sale. Can you buy one for 150?
can you still use those plastic rockers if you barley have an meat left on the rockers cause your rockers look real nice compared to mine so just wondering if it's worth to install the plastic cause like i said mine are horrible
We make a bracket kit to support the covers for trucks that are really rusty
Just Perfect. I like it.
This was very helpful
Hi, I have a couple of questions: 1) if the cab corners don't have any rust, could they be trimmed off so only the rockers are being replaced? 2) instead of grease could a rust converter and some fluid film be applied 3) could some epoxy or 2 part glue be used along the bottom edge to prevent moisture and/or road debris from getting behind the rocker? Thanks.
1) yes 2) yup! We also sell Like90 which is similar to fluid film 3) possibly, but most of the time it’s too rusty. Plus, you actually want water to be able to drain out of the bottom so it’s best just to use the rivets
Just when i thought prices couldnt get more rediculous than they are for a work truck
Why don't they make these for older trucks. I have a 98 and they start at 99.
Got em for obs? No
I'm in. I live in salt country. Rust preventative is part of the cost of being the Boss.
This is a band aid to an underlying problem.
Yeah, using salt on the roads, and poor quality materials used in the manufacturing of the vehicle.
@beniah-A some material is just to expensive to build cars so steel is the cheapest
I have a 2014 Silverado. Rust started appearing in 2019 on the rocker panels, under a door handle, near tail lights, and on front side of wheel wells. Everything on the underside is pretty much rusted. This is by design. Auto manufactures could easily under coat all frames, chassis’, and all body parts with bed liner coating or something similar. Another way to allow cars and trucks to wear out quicker, by design!
It's cause chevy waxes their frames... aluminum ford's can't rot
@@DC-ct8tvthis! Every time we get 2018 Chevys in our shop the frames are covered in rust. But a 2011 dodge or ford comes in and the frame looks fine. I’ll never understand the waxy/oily coating that Chevy uses. You can literally wipe it off with your hand.
@@RoastFlea61 cheaper... just has to last past warranty
@@DC-ct8tvbody’s aluminum the frame still isn’t
Or maybe because it’s a Chevy lol, whatever helps you cope
So Gorilla tape won't work 😕 ?
Link to the bracket install would be great.
Do these work if you have a 3rd door extended cab truck??? Please let me know if you find out! Thanks all
I wish my brain would allow me to do this. It would be so much cheaper. But it wont. It wants the rust gone. It has spoken.
How about for my rotted gmt400?
Thank you for the detail you go into when doing the voice-over of the process. All kinds of nuggets of advice and tips that made it easy to gauge the skill level needed to install these which doesn't actually seem that difficult.
Do they make kits for 2006 1500 Suburbans? They rust like hell too.
Where is your shop located?
Who was "their covers" from bc oam doesn't make rocker covers for a 99 to 07 f250.
How long can we expect these to last? The tape makes me nervous that it’ll fall off after a winter
where can i get them? i have same issue chevy cargo van
Amazon
11:11 Tip would be to get a tripod for the long still shots. Especially when you are adding overlay on the screen. Great video overall.
Gimmie a break!
@@doctorkayak I don't think I am being overly critical. But rather providing constructive criticism.
