My teacher has me working on long tones. It is helping me with breath control and having a consistent tone . I have a ways to go but I love the flute . Really enjoy your channel !!

Oh heck yeah! I'll LOVE a guide to those impossible studies that go on and on and are like tongue twisters for my fingers! Etude! I feel like there's gotta be a system to their madness. Like... Identify what key you're in 'cause that's what all the runs are gonna be, notice the patterns, stuff like that? I dunno. 🤷‍♀️ I'm not a flute teacher. Obvs. Thank you very much! ❤

Ms. O'Hanlon, I've started the multi tounging on the recorders, and I play recorders for my church. I know a thing or two about tounging as well as double and triple tounging. As you know, thenrecorder is the predecessor to the flute that we know of today, just like the flutes that you play, Ms. O'Hanlon. I find this video helpful as a recorder player myself.

Hey i need help i got my braces 2 months ago and i cand do low tone and high tone but i cant play notes like me or re and evertime i di a scale only do sounds i tried everything and nothing

I remember watching one of James Galway's videos. He was saying how he tried to get in 3 or 4 hours of practice a day and my original thought was, "Umm, dude? You're done." But the more I thought about it, the more I realized what you said in your video here. Flutists are never done - not even Galway or Choi or Pahud or anybody! We can ALWAYS improve and that's one of the many things I love about the flute! ❤ Again, it's so nice to "meet" you and I'm very excited to begin taking lessons from you!! ❤

I’ve been playing flute for over years years and I am starting piccolo, definitely a little challenging but I am super excited

Why did this hit so hard. I have been practicing so much that it’s gotten to the point where my foot has been strained for almost a month. It seems fine when I rest, but the moment I go out to practice it starts hurting again. Some days it gets so bad it’s hard to walk. But I’m not allowed to take a break 😢. My parents are so strict with sports, I’m not allowed to argue and complain. I’ve tried to tell them of this problem but they refuse to listen. But hey, if I end up with irreversible joint damage it’s their fault and I have something to rub in there face and say “I told you so.”
