Everett Railroad: The Santa Express
The Everett Railroad hosted their first Santa Express trains of the 2024 season on November 29th, 2024. You will see 2-6-0 #11 at a variety of different locations as well as a brief cameo of GP16 #1712 with a freight train. Thanks for watching.

Cumbres & Toltec: A Few Minutes with the Mudhen

On August 10th, 2022, we were in Chama to capture the preparation of the locomotives for the days trains. The engine of choice for the day was K27 #463. Built in 1903, the 463 was 14 out of 15 from the D&RG Class 125. The engines were later rebuilt and reclassified as K27. #463 is one of two preserved members of its class. We capture the engine climbing Cumbres Pass making its maiden voyage across the railroad after emerging from the shop after 9 months of work. On July 15th, 2022, we paid a visit to Americas oldest operating shortline railroad. We were able to catch a wide variety of action including a freight run as well as the Diamond Heist stunt show. Seen in this video is 2-10-0 Decapod #90, SW8 #8618, and 2-6-0 #89 sporting an Illinois Central 3 chime for the weekend. Hope you enjoy the video.

This locomotive is probably where the railroad got its shortened name “Reading & Northern” or it probably got it from the railroad system being more north of Reading and the Blue Mountains.
I would really like to see Reading T1 2102 in the state of Pennsylvania. It’s another beautiful locomotive.

Wow, I’m glad 126 and the equipment roster from Kiski Junction are now finally happily running on their new home at the Everett Railroad. And also Everett 11’s 5 chime whistle reminds of NKP 587’s whistle!
D&S RR should add new steam engines not Diesel engines. Remember this is to be 1880’s period. Shame.
Well, maybe one day a few visiting steam engines like K-27 464 from the Huckleberry Railroad, Georgetown Loop 40 from the Georgetown Loop Railroad and RGS 20 from the Colorado Railroad Museum should visit the Durango and Silverton Railroad, maybe for a lease or loaned like Southern Pacific 18 did!

@@zebrashark23 What would you do if you were in their shoes and had to deal with the possibilities of lawsuits and crap dealing with starting forest fires. I know the majority of the lawsuit bullcrap has been with the D&S lately, but it could just as easily happen here.
@@NEAFarmKid4010 Were you aware that their oil burner started the most track side fires last season? Converting it to oil was unnecessary and it destroyed a piece of history.

Although the original plans with Oil Creek & Titusville Lines did intend for engine 75 to be part of the line up, due to supply chain issues that was not able to happen at this time. However, both Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad and Oil Creek & Titusville Lines contnue to work to return 75 to service, which we hope will happen soon. We will be happy to share the return of 75 to service when the maintenance is completed and it is restored to active service.
