I will do a full review on this later. This was just a quick observation I was making. I did toggle thru all the options so I can assure you I picked the best looking picture. Another thing to keep in mind is that I recorded the footage off my iPhone in HDR so if you are veiwing the n a non hdr monitor it’s possible it could look washed out

​@@gamingsessions77 Well, I was watching this on my phone. Will check later on my 4K HDR 120Hz television to see if it makes a difference. So I checked and no didn't make much of a difference. Miles Morales playing on both PS4 and PS5 the HDR looks awesome. The colors pop and I see nothing of that pink, or purple glow that is shown in your video. I know from experience that sometimes a little tweaking and hardware changes are required to get the best results. Like a better HDMI / DP cable for example. I have seen some other reviews where the visuals do look impressive. And they are raving about the monitor. Does look like it's very immersive.

@@Htxstocktrader I think it will, my brother has the next level racing stand 2.0 and for me as an non expert its super stable, so i guess this GTplayer rig wont be worse. Ive ordered it in black, unfortunately its not in stock currently, they say in mid november in europe. I never heard that holes are not alignet properly in any reviews except this, so i dont bother to much but i will not drill holes, thats for sure, i will contact them to send proper parts.

With my Windows 10, I turned on "Zoom" by hitting Windows key and += key at the same time. To turn off my Zoom and go back to normal screen, I hit the Windows key and the Esc key at the same time. That way I could read and watch the virtual desktop screen while he was talking. So just enable the zoom feature in Windows to use the feature and then use the keys mentioned above.. Worked for me. I use it all the time and very useful for seeing small print.

Because the cable is also compressing the visual data

@@mattclements1348 I’m sorry Matt but I don’t have a clear handle on your question. You mean you use a link cable with your quest 3 ? I’m not sure you can use a cable with VD. It’s meant to be wireless

@@mattclements1348 To make it work better than the link cable requires a Wi-Fi 6 router close by the headset and not shared with other devices. I ended up buying the PrismXR for this. 2.6k connection speed. In fact the PrismXR was the magic that brought it all together.

How much was it? Is it sturdy?

I think the way you explained option 1 should work fine. Just remember to always check the latency you are getting. That’s the most important thing

Oculus and steam games show up in the VD menu. To play DCS just double click the DCS icon on the virtual computer screen. With the new DCS launcher select VR and launch the game.

I am sorry i dont follow you. change the battery? oh i see what you mean. im using the bobo headstrap that comes with an external battery but i also go an extra one so i never run out of juice. check my video on the bobo vr headset i use. otherwise yes i would definitely run out of battery in minutes

@@gamingsessions77my bobo strap arrived and I’m not sure if mine is defective but it’s constantly loosening up. During high movement games I need to constantly tighten it. Is your snug? Mine is so tight it leaves marks on my head lol. Otherwise is keeps loosening

Yes to the first question. Nvidia GTX 640 or 980M or ATI HD 7000/Rx 200 minimum. I would like to say i dont have a mac or use one so i cant verify any of this

I never owned the t300rs but I’m only a low budget sim racer now and i couldn’t dare spend that kind of money on a DD and have issues like that on top. Maybe once I lifted a little more weights 😀

What part did you want me to zoom in. Perhaps I can show just that part

In my Windows 10 there is a "Zoom" feature to allow me to zoom in on looking at something small like in this video. Worked for me. There are Hot keys to turn on and off "Zoom". Worked great on this video and I could read the VD window items. Plus I am looking at you tube videos on a 40 inch LCD screen. The VD window is still pretty small.

No it is not. These connections are within your home network and doesn’t have much to do with your isp speed. If you max it out at 100mbps it only affects the quality of what happens within your virtual computer you are looking at in the headset. I hope that makes sense to you what I just said

The problem i had with the lighting effect was i shot part of it in the afternoon one day but couldnt finish it and had to continue the next morning. i didnt realize the difference in the lighting till i played back the video. i tried fixing it but nothing i did worked. next time i just have to try to finish the video in one shot. thanks again

@@gamingsessions77 I understand the difference in lighting with there not being time to record all at one time (life happens). I was talking about the lightning strike effect at 1:35 . To me it doesn't fit whats happening. Hope this helps, I'll be sure to watch for the next video.

@@nxgr4 oh that? Lol yea it was a little lame. I couldn’t find any slap effect which correlated to what I was saying so I improvised and it probably wasn’t a good idea

@@gamingsessions77 Instead of adding an effect for that I would have most likely just added a slide transition with some sort of wind sound effect for when it moves to your desktop. That way you wouldn't need an effect for the slap since you have a slide transition for the next scene, which in this case is your desktop.

I believe i had the same experience. getting the wifi6e for me has made all the difference. besides getting a better headstap with better battery i would say the network upgrade is the next crucial upgrade to make.

I have an ASUS ROG Gt-AXE16000 and on both 5G and 6, I am getting consistent (almost every 30 seconds) WiFi instability issues. Virtual Desktop is showing 2401mbs but it still hiccups and drops frames for a second then it’s perfect again. No matter what I try, I am still having this issue. Any ideas? I have AT&T 1G fiber into the house/modem, modem to the ASUS, PC linked to ASUS via 10G wired connection and I am exactly 33” from my router lol. I keep feeling like it is going back to the headset itself but I’m exhausted at this point trying to figure it out. Thanks🙏🏻

@@Chaos6-1 I had a similar experience with my TP-Link AXE 7800. though i am not familar with the interface of the Asus ROG you are using i cna probably make a few suggestions from what i did on mine. First, my 6e router was dedicated to my Quest so i gave a separate SSID and password for the 6e router to connect the quest. Second, turn off 2.4/5Ghz on the router but keep on 6GHz. Third, Turn on TWT and smart connect but turn off OFDMA. these settings helped me keep my connection sable. good luck and please report back

@@gamingsessions77 so, I spent a long time today testing. My router is dedicated as well and is receiving 1G fiber, all speed tests look great (it’s wired). Tried all the tips, did a lot of back and forth, used the Virtual Desktop performance overly to monitor. I initially had great results but after 5 or so minutes into each iteration, I would start to get drops. Subtle at first with only 1-2 frames dropped, slight stutter. But then bigger drops of 15-20 frames and regular intervals of 30ish seconds. 😢 Have been emailing with Meta, they are aware of it and acknowledged they are still working to fix stability. At least they didn’t deny it 🤷 Thanks again for the tips!

You internet speed doesn’t matter when you are running viirtual desktop since it’s internal. What’s important is that you plug your pc into a wired network
