Had one ,loved it I stopped at my local Honda dealer for a minor part and test rode a VALKYRIE INTERSTATE, well that’s pretty much it. We got what we paid the ACE On a trade so it was a win win for us .we rode the nuts off the bike never a problem just normal maintenance.but I did miss the ACE .

I used to have a 2000 softail standard with the older twin 88B motor. I was always surprised how well it handled, even in the twisties. If I was to get another Harley it would be the Lowrider S.

Any slip on recommendations

Have you ever had any issues with the inner tubed tires/spoked wheels while riding at highway speeds? As far as I know having a puncture with this kind of tires Is dangerous because they loose air inmediately and can make you loose control of the bike, while tubeless tires loose air slowly and gives you Time to get home. Whats your experience on this regard?

Just picked up my ‘22, but I can only do slip ons. My dealer said if I change entire exhaust it will void my warranty

Best video I have found on the softail standard (I want one). Couple of questions- 1- is it a 2020 or 2021? 2- How tall are you? Asking because I am trying to get an idea for how I would sit on one (I'm only 5'6").

Nice bike and ride. Consider buying some gloves and always wear them when riding. You will instinctively put your hands a down in a crash and it takes no time for your skin to be gone.

I own a 2020 Softail Standard. It does handle great and I has plenty of torque. You have to be careful when you thumb your right turn signal. Mine almost ran away with me once. That only happened ONCE. 😄

Compared to my older Heritage, my ‘20 Softail Standard is a fighter jet. Handles nice. Stops nice. Good all around bike, but it is naked. Added cruise control because of my shoulder. Added a solo Saddelmen seat - HUGE IMPROVEMENT. Have a solo luggage rack and sissy bar coming from Motherwell. Probably add some slip ons next. Love it. P.S. Sorry about your dad. Lost mine in ‘06, and I still think of him every day. Phone died when I was typing earlier- lol.
