I just used the standard settings. I do sometimes increase the steering ratio to 14:1 at larger tracks but seldom use 16:1; this track guide is probably a couple years old now so some stuff has probably generally changed but the brake markers etc are still relevant.

Thanks man, I definitely didn't expect it. I was so in the zone that background chatter didn't bother me, you were the one looking for that late caution right? If I recall you were on some alternate pit strat that ended up biting you when that dude with 30 to go just decided to park it on the track when he wrecked.

I will say this is for the last generation car but the braking markers and such should be about the same. Check out my video from a couple days ago from me running the NiS Coke 600 (I finished 2nd) for some examples of how to run your laps, especially late in the race.

@@BigChief1116Gaming something you may wanna look into it either running Fixed NiS the Sunday nights you're able to run or look into the new Gen 4 Fixed series. Those run every two hours and have had pretty high participation so that you can pick and choose when you wanna run

@@BigChief1116Gaming NASCAR iRacing Series only requires your C License, I believe that Gen 4 Cup Fixed series requires the same.

I'm sorry I somehow missed this comment, UA-cam isn't the best at alerting you. Did you figure this out? Ultimately you need to upload to a program called Trading Paints and have that running in the background.

Yeah for sure. I don't know if you saw it but check out what happened to me on lap 108 under caution. Running those high SoF races leaves little room for error and can be a humbling experience lol.

Yeah my knowledge on true setup building is pretty minimal. Adjusting the TC settings and ARBs would be the extent of what I would be comfortable doing

Don't know if it's anything you would be interested in but I am a co owner of a league that races Next Gen on Sunday Nights at 8:15pm EST and also does a bunch of endurance team events. Our iR gap is something like 1000-4000 but is a pretty good group and mostly laid back. Always worth a shot trying to find some similar like minded people.

Yeah usually a little bit of light braking will help transition the weight a little bit off of the right front. If you're finding the tire wear to not be getting really bad with what you're doing then I would keep doing that.

@@JonHonaker honestly my biggest issue at this point is stopping the car from drifting to the high line mid corner and on exit. I'm losing a bunch of time due to having to lift off the throttle completely and having to jam the wheel to the left to keep from smashing the wall haha

Then in that case yes I would use a bit of braking and wait until the car is settled before you pick the throttle back up

Also, if you're ever looking for a league to race in, arca, Xfinity and cup series are all a part of the one I'm in now. Sidewinder Racing League. Xfinity is running tonight so that's why I'm trying to get some tips haha cup series tomorrow night

It depends on the car, not all of them allow you to do it. On most of the NASCAR style cars there is a box inside the passenger rear wheel well on the template

Yeah it was quite fun and challenging. The only problems I recall having was the closing speed on some of the Miatas and the occasional indecisiveness. Having an event that allows rookies (and we definitely had multiple) and significant speed differences is a recipe for some carnage :)

I actually was using 27/32 for both front and rear and then 49% brake bias

I personally use VRS setups. As far as the iRacing setups I would use one that has the rear wing around 15 degrees or so.

This was from a different build of iRacing about a year ago so I don't think the lap times are relevant anymore unfortunately.
