Thanks for this review. I too don't like using animal based yarns so it is difficult sometimes to find something that is warm but not too synthetic or acrylic based. One of the brands in the book is Scheepes ? I'm using their cotton 4ply at the moment and it's working up nicely , it has loads of colours and is well priced. ❤

I love the feel of coboo. However, the splitting is driving me crazy. I am a beginner at crochet and I finally had to set my project aside. No matter how slow and careful I was, it just kept snagging and splitting. I don't plan I buying it again.

Ya, I kind of get it about being a foreigner, profession-wise. Here in the US, there are a LOT of people who are doctors in their native land, who are actually nurses here. Not that there is anything wrong with being a nurse, but these people didn't go through years of med school to be a nurse... And it is apparently quite arduous just to get into medical school here, even before you start actually to learn anything. 😂 Anyway, have a great day. 🐞

I made a top in Mona Lisa and it’s so thick and heavy which isn’t comfortable in the summer. I will probably end up unravelling it all and using the yarn for something else. The Hobbii rainbow cotton is my favourite as it’s so soft. Their rainbow bamboo is my all time best yarn as it feels like such a premium yarn and works up beautifully.

Also, how do you figure out (the math) you use to calculate the price of each ball? How do you factor in 50 gram balls? I would like to order, but need more info. on the pricing. Hope you can help?

They do not have your favorite Macaron anymore. So I am wondering if you have considered Acoustic as a replacement? It looks similar but I think it is thinner. Have you tested it? What Do you think of Acoustic?

I can tell you 90% of synthetics are indeed non recyclable and aren't biodegradable. Not to mention the pollution that occurs in the production which is far more cruel to all living things than shearing wool from an alpaca, sheep, yak etc. Wool sheep are expensive and raised precisely for their prized wool. So are alpaca etc. These animals are raised ethically and not on industrial meat farms as sickly mistreared animals do not produce good wool. It is necessary to sheer them as not sheering them is detrimental to their health (overgrowth, matting etc) I do hope you will look into how most synthetic fibers are produced...and cotton is a whole conversation on its own (such as the run off from pesticides etc) realistically I'd very much like for you to visit a wool farm to put your mind at ease. ❤ Much love.

I think they make the smaller yarn balls / skeins because a lot of the companies that order from them want the yarn wound in that size. Possibly because it would be too expensive to sell a BIG ball of some yarns (psychology and perception are huge in sales). It may be that it seems cheaper to some people to buy many small items rather than fewer large... 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️🤷

Ice Yarns'powder pinks seem to be more of a rosy beige no matter what yarn type it is... Not sure where the 'pink' comes from there. I have several packs of Picasso Rainbow in a couple different shades and am waiting for Ice to get most of their colorways back in stock - all but 3 are out and some have been out for several months. The Picasso is fine to work with, but with that halo it is difficult to pull out as it sticks to itself. Beautiful yarns! Enjoy! 🐞

Yes, if you're not loving your project, you should frog (pull out) what you've done, and find something else to do with your time and your yarn. Both your time and your yarn are too valuable to waste on something that doesn't "spark joy" as the modern phrase goes. Have a great day! 🐞

i know this video is kinda old now but easiest way to find the yarns on ice if you want to repurchase is by the code number thats on the packaging for the packs :) for example if i wanted to reorder the picasso rainbow i search 64626 on ice yarn and it will take me to the picasso rainbow <3

I don’t know if you can help me…I did the gauge and it was good….I was following size s-m but my width was 34 instead of 38.5….so I decided to chain 105 as per the m-l pattern and achieved the 38.5 width…do you think I will get a small -medium sized cardigan if I continue with the m-l pattern ….I am thinking my tension is tighter ?
