replacing the flapper didnt fix my problem, i notice when i turn the water off, i can still hear dripping noises, but they dont come from the toilet. sounds like its coming from the pipes.the water still goes down on the tank.
Are you not tightening anything at the pipe to hose transition. You just push it in. Thats it?

i have this exact same dual flush mechanism, what seal fits this? i measured 3.3in OD and 1.9 ID on the seal
The variety packs I had access to didn't have one that fit. Cleaning the old one and replacing it helped. It still leaked at first, then as I procrastinated replacing the canister, the leaking stopped. Still got a new canister sitting around to install once the leak starts again.

You just pull the strap out of the one side. But if it's still too small, then you'll have to buy a different strap wrench.

@weekendhomeprojects right, i think ours was too. My husband blamed me & I blamed him. He started a month ago & got frustrated. I started Saturday and 3 of the door screws wouldn't come out, I gave up. We tackled it today & won but we have to buy a replacement screw

Do you not need an expansion tank? I need to replace mine, but everyone is telling me I need an expansion tank (I am in Florida).
Some areas require it, yes. So probably not a bad idea even if your area doesn't. However, I was just replacing exactly what I had, mainly to see if I could even do it. Wasn't even sure "expansion tanks" were a thing until the comments started rolling in. I'll probably add one soon.
