    "oftentimes" for the vocal performances? It's ALWAYS to accommodate vocalists that can't cut it live anymore.

    There's a ton of smaller details in the song that people can apply to their own styles. As you mentioned, they are playing in a relaxed fashion that makes everything flow. Their rhythm lines are not overly complicated for most of the song so the guitars are not stepping on the vocals, but are still providing a sense of momentum and urgency. The use of palm muting keeps the machine gun pace going while still maintaining air space in the song. Considering the vocalist they have, they really work as a unit and don't seem to be fighting for the spotlight.

    Standard D for me, a capo gets Eb & Standard E. The lower string tension is just easier on the instrument. It also has a deeper instrument voice for the music.

    Drums are loud,depending on the player,and tuning of course. But stage volume in some venues just has to be incredibly low. Combo amps sound great,but a monitor mix is EVERYTHING. plexiglass helps keep stage volume down for performers who arent used to the volume ,or simply stage volume has to be low for the venue.

  • @tbugtreybob
    @tbugtreybob 26 днів тому

    The tuning is one half step down. Chromatically (in order), your notes are A A# B C C# D D# E F F# G G# back to A. There are two exeptions alphabetically that do not have a sharp note inbetween: B-C and E-F this rule does not change across western instruments. One "half step" or semitone down from E is F# ... This is your introduction to music theory.

    I completely disagree with encouraging beginners to buy a bad guitar. They are not going to enjoy playing it, and they will just give up because tuning the instrument is too hard and it always sounds and feels bad.

    • @timbelcijan9858
      @timbelcijan9858 29 днів тому

      If they intend to actually take up an instrument they should get used to tuning it and worry about the quality once they've actually learned to play the instrument. A cheap guitar that's in tune will play the same chords an expensive one will, just not as cleanly.

    I applaud you for doing this. Good tips for anyone looking to figure things out by ear, which is not a skill I really developed. For your young guitar player, maybe note that the speed comes with practice and muscle memory. It take time and stamina and practice and requires precision starting slow and building up the speed from there. No one starts that fast and often the hours of practice arent seen, but its a discipline, and requires the time and effort to get better. I used to spend hours playing in my youth to get to this level (and was never at their full level....).
