    It can be a little tricky, sometimes shimmy a crank. First of all, you have to know where the center of your crank should be and go from there. Sometimes you have to put shim on both sides of the crank and sometimes more shim on one side of the crank than the other to get it centered correctly.

    Super nice bearing to use! It make the clutch a little more quiet.And this bearing will last a long time if You keep it packed with grease!👍

    Replace the bearings and balance the crank but even just with better bearings makes a lot of difference for some reason the stock bearings I had were shielded on both sides which I know is not what you want I went with skf and Dunlop bearings 🤙

    Yeah sometimes when you rebuild the carb it starts pissing or leaking fuel means that fork adjustment so it engagement is quicker then stock the float arms I just did it to my bofeng carb it no longer leaks

    I jusr uploaded a video about my rod bearing. Is that too much play? (It ran just 10 min)

    • @MikeNBikes
      @MikeNBikes 4 місяці тому

      I just looked at your video. That is completely normal. You should only be concerned if you're holding the crank in your hand and pull up on he conrod as you are. If you're able to pull up and down on the conrod, you have an issue. It's difficult to do in the case because naturally the crank will want to spin Question. Where exactly did you get that engine from? I need a bottom end with that crank.

      @@Potato37184 Could you link me to the exact listing? Because that looks to be a good crank Do not listen to them. I promise you, all cranks have side to side play which is normal. Factor in heat tolerances as metal expands. If you had up and down play I would be concerned. Anyone who is telling you its an issue most likely has either not split a case, or handled many cranks and is giving you bad advice.

    • @MikeNBikes
      @MikeNBikes 4 місяці тому

      Thanks for reminding me to do an update. Stay clear of this clutch basket, it looks nice at first but it isn't. To answer your question, a 6809-ZZ bearing is pressed onto it. The bearings ID is 45mm which is slightly smaller than the baskets OD, so either they press it on with great force or they're shaved down slightly. The problem is during engagement and disengagement the basket doesn't stay "whole" stick with the normal ones

      I bought their 48mm to "hose" flange adapters and it did not end well. Really the biggest issue was it lacks surface area for the hose to grab properly, and while it isn't a deal breaker, it does remove one more vulnerability for an air leak

    I actually figured out a much much better way of starting it, which is just more beneficial for me as rather than doing a kickstart especially when it’s cold it’s easier to pull the clutch in pedal a little bit and while you’re moving, let the clutch go and once it starts, pull it back in and then you can put the kickstand down. I found this method a lot easier than having to weirdly lift it up just to start it, especially in the winter of Ohio😂 And as long as you’re moving, slow enough, you can let the clutch go and pull it back in as many times, as you want until the engine starts rather than having to lift up the bike and kickstart every time which from experience is very tiring

    • @MikeNBikes
      @MikeNBikes 8 місяців тому

      No, they're correct. I keep both ZZ shields on until it's time to launch, then I remove the inner. The clutch bearing was originally a ZZ. I prefer to run 2RS but I figured I'd make use out of my excess ZZ bearing stash. I pop the shields off and insert 2RS seals. What you're seeing is me not pressing in the outer bearing seal yet. Kind of like this video below. ZZ bearing but will have the shields removed and 2RS seals pressed in ua-cam.com/users/shorts8Zm-49BMeB0?si=p0F4u96NJqOeVzBT

    I'm thinking if the lighter thinner crank is plenty strong enough. You're better off using a stuffed case with a lighter/thinner, balanced crank that'll spin easier- ala less rotational mass.
