Harvard Medical School Dept of Ophthalmology
Приєднався 13 чер 2013
Harvard Ophthalmology is one of the leading and largest academic departments of ophthalmology in the nation. Formally established in 1871, the department is built upon a strong and rich foundation in medical education, research, and clinical care. Through the years, HMS faculty and alumni have profoundly influenced ophthalmic science, medicine, and literature-helping to transform the field of ophthalmology from a branch of surgery into an independent medical specialty at the forefront of science. Today, the department continues its legacy as one of the finest academic medical institutions in the world-teaching and mentoring future leaders, turning laboratory insight into cures, and bringing the fruits of its labors to patients' bedsides.

I'm on my 3rd year of residency in sudan how to approach and do I have to start over again!? Help please.. thanks 🌻
It there anything that can be done to replace eye injections to deliver anti-VEGF medications? I know it is a matter of time before I may have to have these injections. I do not want to have a needle stuck into my eye. I have heard all the folks who say it does not hurt - blah, blah, blah - but I am concerned about complications and the possibility that the injections may lead to glaucoma.

Western medication can't effectively treat and reverse many eye diseases, such as high tension POAG (primary open angle glaucoma), cataract, diabetic macular edema, wet-AMD (age-related macular degeneration), Stargardt's, etc. Only God's mercy nano-grade eye drops should be the last-ditch treatment for many eye diseases that can't be effectively treated and reversed by western medication. Given high tension POAG as the best example: ua-cam.com/video/iswRngmN-cY/v-deo.html All glory belongs to God !
Cool💕😊
Viva Coimbra
I didn't understand what the treatment actually consists of ? I wasn't clear to me at all actually, even though toward the end there is this evocation of the relief people feel when some of the vision loss from wet AMD is remedied. I'm asking because my father (born 1958) has had wet AMD for nearly two decades and is now legally blind and cannot drive. He is otherwise in good shape.
I didn't understand it either. :(

It’s a dream which never come true for me.
Dear Dr Foster, I do not know if i can find words towering enough to describe my gratitude and appreciation to you. It will be 20 years ago that I came to you frightened and nervous after being told I have uveitis. You gave me hope and strength as we went through the process of controlling and conquering this disease. I trusted you from day one and you never let me down. To this I thank our Creator for the joy sending me your way. God Bless you. Julia G
The simulation lab at 2:30 is gorgeous! Ours is 16 stations but we can't keep it open 24/7 yet. This is something I hope to fix after the COVID restrictions ease. Great video! Thanks for sharing!

I have found that the intrinsic motivation of the resident makes a HUGE difference in how much they get out of the simulations. Our company reps are huge supporters of our program and critical for the growth. Great discussion!
I had a resident reach out a few weeks ago to walk through challenges before doing them with the real patient. It was great but I realized I need to figure out how to create some operative challenge "in" the eyes before they arrive. I also want to see some interprofessional simulations with our anesthesia team.
This sounds like a great course! Can't wait until COVID allows others to rejoin your events. I miss the local programs visiting our center
We can run larger sessions for the team to practice weekly with up to 16 seats. The faculty are available for one on one questions. In weeks where faculty are not there, the residents can take a small recording to send to the faculty.
Our ophthalmology simulation suite has 16 seats but we have had to limit to 10 total in the room for COVID precautions. It is still done weekly but takes longer. Thanks for this overview of your program!
Awesome video! Great job, Dr. Laíns!
