Hi , i have been watching you videos for sometime now but never really comment. I have just realised I have not subscribed to your channel so I made sure I did so today . I just love building and farming content. I was especially interested in knowing how much the gate was because I need one for my property. Thanks
Hi there! Thank you so much for watching my videos and for subscribing-I truly appreciate your support! 😊 I’m thrilled to hear you’re enjoying the building and farming content. It’s always great to connect with like-minded people! As for the gate, I’d be happy to share the details. The one featured in the video cost approximately ZK15,000.00, including installation and transport, delivered to Silver Rest, Lusaka. If you’d like tips or guidance on sourcing one for your property, feel free to reach out-I’m always happy to help. Thanks again for your support, and stay tuned for more exciting content!

Really appreciate, the knowledge you are sharing here. In the diaspora we take health and safety very seriously, l had to laugh when you asked about how the water tank will be raised at the required height. You can not beat Zambian manpower 😊
Thank you for your kind words-I’m glad you’re enjoying the knowledge shared! 😊 Health and safety is indeed a big focus in the diaspora, and it’s always interesting to see how things are approached differently here in Zambia. The “Zambian manpower” solution never fails to amaze me-it’s resourceful and gets the job done, sometimes in ways that make you laugh and appreciate the ingenuity! Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
This is great thanks Kelvin 🙏🏾
Thank you so much George! 🙏🏾 I'm glad you found it helpful. It's amazing how technology like cameras can make managing a project so much easier, even from a distance. If you have any questions or need more details, feel free to ask!
Good video
Greetings @kelvinPHIRI. This is wonderful, I am surprised the supplier got the correct order design for window frames and doors. May l ask the height of the wall fence in metres and breadth between each segment.
Thank you for your kind words my brother! I was equally impressed by the supplier’s attention to detail and commitment to getting the order right-it really speaks to the professionalism of the team I working with. Regarding the wall fence, the height is approximately 2.4 meters, and the breadth between each segment is 3.20 meters. The design was carefully planned to balance security, aesthetics, and cost-effectiveness. If you’re considering a similar project, I’d be happy to share more details or tips based on my experience. Let me know!
You are doing a great job, Mr Phiri.

@BuildingDreamsAfrica Welcome.its very inspiring.
Will this provide wealth enough as generational wealth for your children if they live overseas like you do now? Cost of living other places are very high so is building in Zambia going to provide enough? Genuinely wondering. Is investing in land/property in Zambia worth it over investing in property in the USA for example if that's where you lived (or whatever country)?
Thank you for your genuine question-it’s a very valid point and one I’ve reflected on deeply. Generational wealth is about more than just immediate financial returns; it’s also about creating stability, opportunities, and a lasting legacy for future generations. Living in the diaspora, investing in property in Zambia offers unique advantages. Real estate in Zambia often comes with fewer barriers to entry compared to many countries abroad, where property markets are highly competitive, prices are much higher, and debt is often a major factor. In Zambia, I can create assets that are debt-free or require minimal borrowing, reducing long-term financial risks. Property investments in Zambia also allow me to support family back home in a sustainable way. Instead of sending money regularly-which can incur high transfer fees and unfavorable exchange rates-the income generated from properties provides direct, ongoing support to my family. This approach not only reduces costs but also ensures the money is building something lasting for everyone’s benefit. Additionally, owning property in Zambia connects my family to our roots. It’s not just a financial investment; it’s a personal one, preserving our heritage and creating something meaningful for future generations. Zambia’s real estate market is growing, with increasing demand fueled by the diaspora, leading to opportunities for rental income and property appreciation. While the cost of living in the diaspora is higher, real estate in Zambia serves as a financial cushion-offering income, equity, and even the option of a second home base if my children or I ever want to return. For me, this isn’t about choosing one over the other; it’s about diversification. By investing in both my current location and Zambia, I’m building a balanced portfolio that provides security and wealth across different markets. I’d love to hear your thoughts or experiences if you’ve considered similar investments!
This is lovely

@@kingslj Thank you so much! I appreciate the support. It's a vision I'm passionate about, and I 'm glad to have others like you on this journey.
We need to be more honesty and build trust, I am in the diaspora and can assure you that we are always scared of engaging fellow Zambians to do our projects because after working so hard in the mines, when you send money for projects back home, most of the time it doesn’t work. People just chew our money and start giving us stories after stories.
Thank you for sharing your perspective. I completely understand where you're coming from, as I’m also in the diaspora, and I know firsthand the challenges and risks involved in managing projects from afar. That's precisely why I started this series, "How to Build in Zambia While Living in the Diaspora," to openly share my own experiences, the lessons learned, and the systems I've put in place to ensure transparency and accountability. Building trust is key, and I aim to help others navigate this process more confidently by sharing practical advice and insights that have worked for me. Let's keep the conversation going so that, together, we can create reliable solutions for Zambians in the diaspora looking to invest back home.
Great work!

Where is this
I am an African American thinking about retiring in the motherland and Zambia has been on my mind. Is it easy for foreigners to purchase land there?
@b.3940 Thank you for your interest! Yes, it is possible for foreigners to purchase land in Zambia, although there are some legal steps and requirements involved. Generally, foreign buyers need to go through specific procedures, and it can be beneficial to work with a trusted local lawyer or a real estate agent familiar with the process. I recommend starting by researching the type of land you want to purchase (e.g., residential, agricultural) as each has its own guidelines. Zambia is very welcoming, and many African Americans are choosing to invest or retire here. Let me know if you'd like more insights or contacts to help guide you through the process!

Thank you for watching! They haven’t started selling yet; the video was mainly to showcase the incredible work Zambians in the diaspora are doing back home. I’ll definitely ask about pricing for the plants next time I visit and share any updates with you!
This is lovely & it’s what I was discussing with some other Zambian last night that we need to more of us Zambians to be involved in offering solar product solutions in order to save many of our people from exploitations by foreigners who’re charging Zambians much higher prices.
You’re absolutely right! It’s so important for more Zambians to get involved in providing affordable solar solutions. When local entrepreneurs step up, not only can we offer competitive prices, but we also build skills, create jobs, and strengthen our economy from within. Thank you for sharing this vision-together, we can make it a reality! 🌞🇿🇲
