My sons grown now and i still can’t hear that song without tearing up. So much of my life was wrapped up into those road trips and my kids and i were so close plus i still cared alot for their mom. Now they are grown i haven’t seen my daughters in 7 years and i seen my son for the first time in 2 years last week. Id give anything to have those trips back. Those trips that killed me a little at a time. I never missed one trip nor was i ever a day late for it. No matter what it took i made that trip every time it was time to go. I would work 12 hours drive there and sleep for a while and we’d load up and drive to my house.

That was one of my, and my son's favorite songs. We only lived 7 miles apart, but the feelings were the same. He stopped talking to me, 2 1/2 years ago. He just graduated High School and sent everyone but my wife and i an invitation. "Weekend Dad's" hurt more than we let on........

next month i will be sharing this song with a close male friend who is a missionary. this song made me realise that I love him and it breaks my heart each time he leaves. I have done missionary work to and i want to go with him but i think i will be forced to say goodbye. I know i am the reason why he comes back here. makes it hard because I have tried to end our friendship before. this time he needs to either stay and be with me or I have to say good bye and move on. he has been a close friend for 5 years now and we have been there for each other when we needed someone. thank you Zac (if thats your name) for writing this song. it is going to be the way I tell my friend how i really feel.

Being "that divorced Dad" is no fun at all. I sang this song along with the radio headed down I20 from my home town west to Dallas for many a year until my children were grown. This band is going to be huge mark my Words. The girl chmes in and says this song which i heard before the Debut is going to be massive. The first part of the song the entry which is unforgettable then the first chorus. I said to my than g/f This song entry, Chorus and than follow up is not only a story but a good one. The song spoke for it's self.

My Highway 20 ride involves Tupac's Picture Me Rollin Jamie Foxx with a car jacker and A guy due on a Due date spilled coffee cremation and Memories some sad some good some funny some ugly / and somewhat same Feline's I haven't had a chance to tell my adult Son Know I didn't want a divorce just yet so I got devoured!! 😐

If Charlie was exactly Charlie in the 1970's he would be the biggest rock star in the world. He should be now also...When they say they don't make them anymore just tell them to go see BBS and Charlie! Nobody combines amazing guitar talent, singing ability, and awesome song writing and fronting a band like he does. He really is an amazing talent, and he seems like a down to earth great guy also.

I know that feeling. I drive from PA to KY every other weekend for my kids . Almost 7 hours one way. Hardest part is waking up Sunday morning , knowing they have to go back to their mom.

I'm a line haul towboat captain on the Mississippi River and it's tributaries. It's so much more than a job, this is a way of life and it takes a special woman to love a man like me. To me and my wife this song is about the weeks I spend on a boat all in northern states while she patiently waits my return in deep south Mississippi.
