Blue Angels Sneak Pass S.F. Fleet Week Practice Day from UNDERNEATH

Blue Angel #5, Whiskers, and the photography jet blasted our sailboat at 700 mph from less than 50 feet up in the sneak pass. We knew it was coming but it still blew our minds.
Coast Guard Helicopter Rotor Blast

The Coast Guard helicopter landed in a field behind the Golden Gate CG Station. I was amazed at the amount of wind and turbulence it caused on the ground nearby. Later, when it took off over my head, I got blasted.
Sail GP Crummy Videos of Terror

Yet another blurry video of terror on a sailboat. So much fun. This is the same thing I posted earlier only I added a bit on the front and back.
Surrounded by Sail GP Terror

We went out in S.F. Bay to watch the Sail GP boats practice. There was no box out there restricting where we could go. We hung out near the GG Yacht Club, but sometimes we ended up as a jibe mark.
San Francisco Bay - a typical summer day on the water
Переглядів 333 роки тому
The eastern side of the bay up past Paradise Cove and the San Rafael Bridge might be warm, sunny, and mild on a summer day. But if you sail south past Point Blunt, Angel Island, the bay becomes Victory at Sea.

Loud Echo in Corkscrew Slough Redwood City
Переглядів 803 роки тому
I was yelling at some harbor seals out in the baylands and I noticed a super echo. The echo works great inside Corkscrew Slough a little ways up the channel from the harbor. It could have been echoing off a large ship sitting in the port. Not sure.

Jim Walmsley Arrives at Michigan Bluff
Western States 100 isn’t Western States for me when Jim Walmsley and Courtney Dauwalter don’t run in the race 😢
hm? that happened only once, in 2018, where both attended the race together.. whats your point here? you just saw a video showing walmsley running..
@@kizzmiazzz 😂👍
Welcome to this World my Boy.
@@kizzmiazzz 😂👌
Who was the photographer 😳?
Looks like Hillary, Billy Yang's wife. :)
@@spdlee She’s Fast 🏃♀️💨
At first glance I thought it was Jim which was running towards the camera 😂 but then nope a camerawomen 😁
That was Jim's wife, Jess running down the trail ahead of him with the camera.
I see myself at 0:14 =)
Ellen. I hope to see you and your -17 back out on Redwood Creek someday. It would be fun to sail my WR with you and Max!
Back when I still felt safe going to a ball game.
CAMERA PROBABLY DOES NOT REALLY SHOW HOW TRULY LARGE THIS VESSEL IS.. THANK YOU FOR SHARING
That sailboat blocking the dipping jet couldn't have had better timing for the sneak attack.
Leaving Hoartown.
Thanks for sharing this! Any chance you have more Giants games from the 80's or early 90's that you'd be able to share? Especially GiantsVision/early SportsChannel broadcasts?
Not really. I loved Hammaker back then.. He was the ace. I went to the Stick a lot.
@@ellenchandler3750 Thanks anyways. And go Giants!
So cool
LOL !!! EPIC!!!!
🙏 promosm
That was outstanding. TV coverage of Sail GP is spectacular but not once has it conveyed the sense of speed that your video did.
How rude was that ?
Loved that! Scare the crap out of you? LOL
I guess it didn't "come back to you".
We talked to one of the Fat Albert pilots the next day after this. We told him that he scared the sh** out of us. He laughed and said they did this on purpose. They like doing it.
kieth hernandez, warren brusstar, tony perez.
Came here for the baseball. Stayed for the jets!
👎👎
🥰😍🥰
I don’t really hate the dodgers but when we play against them - I do despise them Dodgers & giants share a New York history , both relocated to west coast ... the saga of sf vs la goes back to the heyday of baseball ⚾️⚾️⚾️
Hummmmmm. Babbby🤟🤙🙌👏😎👊⚾️
Go giants go!!!!!🙌🙌
Taking a trip down to see this. What’s there practice schedule like?
Towards the end of the practice season they go out once a day around 2:30. At the beginning of the practice season they might go out 3 times in one day, but they go out over the desert instead of the airfield. Check the air space restrictions for NAF El Centro to see when they have the air space. NAF El Centro is renamed by the way.
If the fluid tastes sweet, then it probably is coolant. If it has no flavor or tastes like dirt, it most likely is condensation from your AC unit. Try driving around with no AC on and see if the drips happen again.
unreal
The game-winning hit was a 3-run homer by Milt May. May was a member of the 1971 World Series Champions Pittsburgh Pirates. May played in 1971-72 and 1972-73 seasons with San Juan Senators in Puerto Rican Winter League.
Chili Davis❤️❤️❤️
My most memorable Giants games
First time i see yr sailing videos ! Looks like much fun . I havent seen you on sosailize ( . net ) ... you dont share on there ?
Welch had no movement on his fastball....straight as a trolly wire.
He kept getting better with age RIP
In 1983 he was probably drunk. Not knocking, he wrote a book about his battle with bottle.
I was at this game with a friend of mine. We just finished finals at CSUN the day before so it was a good way to start the summer. Its an odd time because a lot of players I remember from the 70's were still playing. We had to wait forever for them to scrape Kuiper off the field and resume playing.
megan jonea cool!!
Nice job
We flew with you on this same flight! Truly amazing. Also posted a video by Moffettflyer. ua-cam.com/video/hMzpnNqoGm8/v-deo.html
May 27, 1983 SF at LA
Thanks. The date should be in the title.
So many thanks for posting this! I truly love '80s baseball. Hammaker was such a good pitcher, he always looked like a hungry, gaunt wolf to me. I remember these guys when they came to St. Louis in '87 and my Cards had Jack Clark. Greatness.
He had one gooD YEAR IN 1983. Very good career era of 3.66 even for that time period. He dealt with injuries and only 59 wins in 12 seasons with 67 losses. His career WHIP of 1.24 is solid.
Terry P I loved candlestick!! I remember all of them!! Dusty Baker was so sweet!! I had a mad crush on Atlee!!
Terry P it’s my best memories in life!! Greg Minton moomman was nice too lol. No dodgers 🤣🤣
So many balks not called.
Kirkland at Gemco RIP.
Actually, one of the largest, not the largest in the world, but the largest to go to a US port. Which is surprising. Still, a very cool video. Thanks for posting.
RIP Gary Park. I remember Gary Park Giants announcer on KTVU as well as KTVU Sports director till 1987. He was a nice guy when it came to the profesional attitude but when he was off duty he wasnt the kind of person who like to be approached for autographs or to take pictures until I had a chance to meet him again in 1996 the year I graduated high school then he became a more mellow person and wouldnt mind taking pictures with people
Dante Scott Suguitan I've known him since I was a kid. I wonder how that woud have soundid him and. Jon Miller in the same booth
Dante Scott Suguitan I wonder if he ever knew Jon Miller.
Awesome thanks for posting this was two years before I started following them so what a treat to see this for the first time.
canicas7 I startid in 1979
You need a lot of skill to pilot that beast...!!!!It's interesting that a ship owned by a London company and built in China is named after a U.S. President.....
Benjamin Franklin was one of the Founding Fathers, never a US Pres. But regardless, I agree it's interesting. The Wiki page for the ship doesn't say why it was names so.
What a very cool view!!! Thanks
That's cool!
