TKE canceled weekly safety meetings in Toronto and you have the audacity to do a safety partnership with them?
TKE canceled weekly safety meetings.

How can one join your apprenticeship program without knowing someone on the inside? Seems like everyone gets in through a referral. I've tried calling the Local but they're not much help.
Thank you for your interest in the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC). The IUEC’s Elevator Constructor Apprenticeship Program is managed by the National Elevator Industry Educational Program (NEIEP). To find out more about the Elevator Constructor Apprenticeship, please read the NEIEP Apprentice FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) : www.neiep.org/Help/default.aspx?id=ElevatorIndustryFAQ To find contact information for NEIEP Area Coordinators, please see the NEIEP locations: www.neiep.org/About/bst-Location.aspx
I used helmet to Hardhats because I Honorable Discharge within last 5 years
Local 1 IUEC has changed my life! When organizing I was terrified. So many mixed feelings. The IUEC made so many promises that were way to good to be true. Every promise that was made to me was true. The men and women of IUEC have truly made me feel like a brother I wouldn't change my choice to be an IUEC member for a nothing.
Que Deus abençoe e conforte todas as Famílias que perderam seus entes queridos nesse Honroso Trabalho. |May God bless and comfort all the Families who lost their loved ones in this Honorable Work.
My dad is in this local. This union is one of the strongest I have ever seen. They take very good care of you, give you great benefits, and are always on your side. He was an elevator constructor for almost 40 years. He retired from working on elevators, and now he works as an elevator inspector which is still a fun job. The good thing is he’s still in the union
ask your dad if he could pull me in
Did not mean to find my self in tears researching my apprenticeship. Rest In Power JOE!!!
My dad was an elevator constructor for almost 40 years. He started in the business when he was 19. His father was in the industry, so my dad decided to get into it as well. He retired from being an elevator constructor five years ago, and now he works as an elevator inspector
@@user-ny3mk1uv1h To be honest, he really likes inspecting elevators. He could’ve taken everything, and quit when he retired, but he chose to be an elevator inspector
That’s my grandfather
The best trade of all! Loved the guys I worked with! Retired now and enjoying the benefits from the trade! My son works in the trade now and I always stress on working safe to him and everyone still working! Follow the Union safety protocols, and never be pushed by any of the companies to do anything unsafe!
My Dad was in the trade as well. He was an elevator constructor for almost 40 years. He too worked with good people. He retired from it five years ago, and now he works as an elevator inspector
Work safe out there fellow brothers and sisters!
🙏 stay safe out there!!!

@@user-ny3mk1uv1h Well, he’s not an inspector for the state. He works for a small elevator company near where we live.
So sad please be safe out there from local 36

It is an awesome trade I have over 26 years in. You must PAY ATTENTION There are MANY HAZARDS. SAFETY FIRST. There work is awesome something new every day. The only downfall is some of the people are real assholes and backstabbers. But that's everywhere. So pay attention to work safe, and watch your back, and what you do and say, you should be ok. Peace stay safe.

Life is so precious and can be taken in a blink of an eye. Be safe my brothers and sisters, be safe! Go home everyday to your loved ones, because nobody’s life will be the same without you.
Can you do all roles?
I want to be apart so bad
It’s a great trade. My Dad was an elevator constructor for over 30 years. The benefits in this trade are unbelievable. My Dad has talked with people about what he does, and what they here is jaw dropping. Its a very good job with a union that always has your back, should something happen
beautiful

Hi I'm glad you commented, do you happen to know what exactly in math should I be studying. In general, math is easy for me but I just don't want to miss nothing important.

How did it go? Waiting for my interview date for Local 18 also
@@frankgonzalez1533 did you get to interview??
I'm 20 years old got an interview with local 18 tomorrow I really want this
Good luck my friend. It is a very good trade. I retired after 35 years and if I had it to do over again I would not hesitate to do the same thing.Just be aware of the fact that you must study and keep up with you studies. the educational program is second to none. I have been retired for 18 years now and it would be very difficult for me to start again. I try to tell every young person that I meet , that wants to be an Elevator Constructor, to be sure to be a Union Elevator constructor. There is no better way to go. Work safe. Work hard and take care of yourself. Best wishes. (Local 41 Ret.)
Great information.
can anyone tell me any thing about how to get into an apprenticeship with this union? thanks
how can joend
IUEC Local 71 and Proud of it.

Doing good Work Lester
Somethings are just Un avoidable it's unfortunate but that's the reality of this trade. Inspection of ropes and slings are crucial. I have been trying to get into local 1 nyc for long time now it's like an iron vault.
