I agree that Link's Awakening is definitely the best entry point in the Zelda Series. Ocarina is the best entry for 3D Zelda though, maybe a bit too much of an entry, it literally tells you how to open doors.

Its a Shame the Boomerang got nerfed from the game boy version. Still the best item in the game outside the Roc's Feather though. I wish it still killed everything, at least it still kills the invincible enemies.

Fun Fact in the Game Boy version the Boomerang is the most powerful item in the game and kills pretty much everything. The HD version nerfed it so it causes stun instead although theres still some enemies it kills. It was even better than the upgraded sword and red mail put together. It even kills Anti Fairies and Sparks which are normally unkillable (I think it still does this). The Gameboy version even kills the final bosses last phase in a single hit, it's absurd.

The third time was indeed not the charm.

You could have actually just used the bow from the start. The Armos Knight's shield only protects one side of him. Thats his weakness, he's actually a reused boss from a link to the past. In fact multiple bosses get reused in multiple games. They usually keep the same weakness but typically have different moves. The Link to the Past version is the first boss but is harder since you fight 6 at once (His jumps don't stagger you though). However the bow is the first item so you know to use it while Link's Awakening he is just a mini boss but you aren't told his weakness because the bow is technically optional. Its pretty neat. The most Reused Boss is Gohma the Aracnid who has been used i think, 9 times so far.

Fun fact using a Hotspot and specific DNS settings you can still access online content in Gen 4 and Gen 5 of Pokémon. This even includes events that are no longer available. You can also trade and battle with people long range. *You need a Hotspot because the DS can't connect to modern routers

Fun fact if you steal from the shop your file name gets changed to Thief and people will call you Thief. The shopkeeper kills you with a laser if you ever return though. (I don't know if the Switch version changed this) *He still kills you, i just don't remember if the switch version also literally changes your name

You can strafe that jump but the solution is bomb arrows but the bow is completely optional unless you want 100%

The optional color dungeon for Double Attack (Red) or Double Defense (Blue) is unlocked now if you haven't done it yet.

Ah yes the Trade Sequence, it starts with the amazing rigged claw machine. (The original gameboy one was random but the physics they added actually made it significantly harder)

Fun fact, this is actually this specific Link's 2nd adventure. The Hero of Legend has 4 games, the most of any Link. (2nd most is a 4 way tie between the Hero of Hyrule from Zelda 1-2, The Hero of Time from Ocarina of Time- Majora's Mask, the Hero of Wind from Wind Waker-Phantom Hourglass and The Hero of the Wild from Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom) A Link to the Past Link's Awakening Oracle of Ages Oracle of Seasons Was supposed to have a 5th game but it got canceled due to time constraints and they never went back to it. With Grezzo remaking Link's Awakening, hopefully if they also get around to making Oracle remakes they will do the canceled Mystical Seed of Courage. 2nd Fact: There are 13 Link's, 14 Zelda's and 4 Ganons throughout the series (Not including counterparts) Link and Zelda aren't necessarily named Link or Zelda either. Zelda 2's Zelda is who Zelda 1 Zelda is named after. Lore Wise (From the Manual of Zelda 2, not even mentioned in game because its old so there was barely any text in game) Zelda 2's Zelda was cursed with an endless sleep and all Zelda's after her are named Zelda. We don't know when she was cursed but its highly implied to be during the fallen timeline so all the Zelda's in the other timelines are pretty much just called Zelda so we know who she is. Same with Link except for Link theres no lore explanation.
