It is a great question. I originally made a mistake and started with my series, but starting with a series passionately did make me more disciplined and workable putting aside procrastination on its own. It takes 21 days for one to form a habit, I did draw manga straight for 35 days daily for 8 hours so it had become natural for me to draw daily for 8 hours. I think you should start with a Oneshot. Try participating in competitions which require to draw small Oneshots. Oneshots are beautiful as they tell a short but touching story. You can even start with 6 page oneshots. The SMA is coming up, I personally recommend you to take part in it, the limit is 17 pages maximum in the competition. So in short, the answer will be to start with Oneshot, but it does depend on your mindset too. I hope you become a mangaka, regards.
