The Latin Prayer Podcast
Приєднався 3 бер 2021
Latin is the universal language of the Church. It is also ‘anointed’ (holy), having being nailed to the Cross with our Lord (St. John 19:19-20).
For this reason Latin is hated by the demons and when used during prayer can increase its efficacy. When I discovered this in 2017, I decided I wanted to learn to pray the Holy Rosary in Latin. I couldn’t find a Latin Rosary Podcast that I could pray along with… so I made one myself. I have since added Litanys, Chaplets and as many other prayers that Catholic's should know in their Latin form and will continue to add more. When I started this podcast I must admit that my pronunciation wasn't all that great. I will be republishing episodes correcting my mistakes.
If you have any prayers you'd like to request, or comments and/or suggestions - please email me at latinprayerpodcast@gmail.com. Know that if you are listening to this, I am praying for you. Please continue to pray with me and for me and my family.
God Love You!

Ancient Homily for Holy Saturday | The Harrowing of Hell!
Thank you for this! Went to a SSPX chapel this morning for confession for the first time. Glory to God!
Thank you . Very helpful . A small suggestion if you could add the text to the screen . God bless you . Praying for you and your intentions .
Great to listen to, but would be better to see the words on the screen as they are said.
Thank you so much I will learn until I can recite the latin version with fervour. Our Mother’s prayer really hits me deep inside
This is awesome.. the world needs a podcast like this ❤
Thank you very much.
Thank you for the vid
Where can we find this meditation?
I attended the Latin form of confession but the priest never asked me to state a frequency of how often I've done the sins I confessed
Why aren't there more views on this?
Lets change that brother
Thank you so much for sharing. Are you planning to read the other 2 mysteries?
Thank you so much! This is very well done, your explanations are so very profound and helpful. I to have come late to the traditional Latin mass, and am seeking with my heart to understand Latin, and respond to the mass. Your explanations are very helpful.
Racolta is gone ....new book is here
Thank you for your comment! While it’s true that the *Raccolta* has been superseded by the *Enchiridion of Indulgences*, I believe there's still great value in the prayers passed down to us through the *Raccolta*, many of which were written by saints and have shaped the faith of generations. As Victor Hugo beautifully wrote in *Les Misérables*, “The beautiful is as useful as the useful... perhaps more so.” These prayers, though no longer part of the current framework, continue to nourish our spiritual lives and deepen our connection to tradition and the saints who lived by them. God bless!
Thank you for this teaching of the Nicene Creed in Latin. May the Lord bless you 🙏
You are very welcome! God love you!!
Lovely chant of the alma redemtoris mater please do more . Salve regina chant, if its possible been listening over and over , its just uplifting to hear a songs for our Blessed Mother of God. Thank you

Thank you! God bless you!!
Thank you! This is wonderful! I just subscribed!
Thanks for subbing! God bless you!
If the mistakes had not been so distracting this could have been great and inspiring. Is it so much cheaper using fake voices? Did you even listen to it yourself? "Jesus my good? Then after saying good instead of god...several times...you break into your plea for funds. St Teresa should sue you for changing her words. The Bishop Sheen Rosery is also full of distractng speech defects, a poor choice for any true meditation. Don't you see that even God would like the sound and inflection of a human voice?
Your first comment was so encouraging. This one is so critical. For the benefit of others who may read this, I did not use fake voices. I am reading the text. I confirmed a few times in the text that St. Teresa actually did write “Jesus my good.” Regarding your concern about the plea for funds, I’d like to clarify that my Patreon is entirely dedicated to supporting the Catholic content I create, including meditations like these. The contributions from my patrons help cover the costs of producing and sharing this content, allowing me to continue offering resources that deepen our faith and bring us closer to God. The intention behind mentioning Patreon is not to distract but to provide an opportunity for those who find value in the content to support its continuation. I strive to ensure that my work remains true to the teachings of the Church and that it serves as a source of inspiration and spiritual growth for all who participate. If you have specific suggestions on how I can improve, I’m always open to constructive feedback.

Why did you call GOD by the name of "Johanna"?
I’m sorry… I don’t believe I did… can you tell me where in the video (what time stamp) you heard that? Thank you again for watching!
I listened 3 times I did not hear it
SERIOUSLY? You did a shotty "edit" and replaced "Yohanna" with God.
@@bernardseeley4226He EDITED IT OUT and replaced "Johanna" (Yo-hana) with the word God at 0:54. Shocking. Who is this faker??
Thank you so much 🎉

Thank you very much! This helps me with praying the Sanctus. The prayer you said after 11:00 to 11: 49 is beautiful. If someone would translate for me, would be wonderful. Thank you so much!
You are so welcome
Thank you. What a happy coincidence. I read this meditation at adoration tonight.
Wonderful!
Great to see you back!
❤ I started the rosary in English 2 weeks ago. Fr Ripperger said we should learn prayers in Latin too. Thank you. God bless.
Wonderful! God love you!
Very helpful pronunciation slowly and repeatedly. Very helpful !
Also. I am posting this to Facebook… and if you do another one with the words visible, I will be sending it to my friends that go to Latin mass and understand that demons hate it. They will also post it.
I really wanted to learn the Latin and hearing it is obviously very helpful however, when you are saying it, instead of having something to see that registered your voice, we need to see the english with the Latin below it so we can put it all together. Would you be able to do that ? I imagine it would be quite easy for you but might require a separate video.
Those two "additional lines" are actually a versicle and response that traditionally served to introduce this concluding collect: "O God, who by the resurrection of thy Son Jesus Christ didst vouchsafe to give gladness unto the world: Grant, we beseech thee, that we, being holpen by the Virgin Mary, his Mother, may attain to the joys of everlasting life; through the same Christ our Lord. Amen." Together they constitute the liturgical form of a "commemoration": 1) an antiphon; 2) a versicle and response; 3) a collect. Unfortunately, the traditional commemoration form seems to have gone away, which I think is a loss to the Roman rite.
