This was so great! Made me want to not only visit Dillon Beach, but also stay in one of the tiny houses, And for that, I think you should get a perk from the resort! Just sayin’. Your time there sounds very restorative and healing and inspired me to plan a trip in the near future.

What an awesome day you two had! I started and ended my loop backpacking trip this past weekend at a parking lot right next to Lily Lake. I had good karma from picking up a PCT hitch hiker on my way to the trailhead and got to ride in the back of someone's pickup from the parking lot all the way to Glen Alpine Resort, thus eliminating a mile of walking uphill on a gravel road.

How long ago was this? We're heading to lake Tahoe next week and want to see Alpine falls 🤗

Good times in SC! I think we were there just a week earlier to see the Monarchs in highly uncomfortable bunches.

How much was the catamaran?

I have some vivid childhood memories of Disneyland and the classic rides. In my mind, I always pictured them aging, getting run down and dingy (like attractions and rides literally everywhere else)... but they are still all sparkly and perfect, which is so cool!

I rode horses on the beach when I was 10 there and stayed at the seahorse amazing

cool video. Went to bodega dunes a few weeks ago to walk around and see the boardwalk that you were on that goes out to the beach, and the ranger informed us it washed away from last years storms. Kinda bummed about that, but still nice to walk around the area.

Those are or weren’t cherry trees 😅😅😅😅😂😂. They produce a glue like substance and should not be eaten. I remember those being a child growing up there. I think they’re called clammy cherries.

Looks like a beautiful day!! Peaceful. We camp there periodically. Sadly, the water has been low for a few years now. I'm glad you were able to kayak. Let's hope there's enough to kayak next spring/summer!

It's great to see the current moving so fast! Your arms must have been sore the next day. Seeing that current made me think of when I was a kid... on a really good year we could raft from Sailor Bar to Ancil Hoffman or William B Pond in about 3 or 4 hours!! Of course there were other years it took 6 or 8. Lol!!
