The original 1996 video for The Spice Girl's debut single Wannabe, played next to the 2021 lyric video. Both shot at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel - named the Midland Grand Hotel at the time of the 1996 shoot. The hotel has quite evidently had a major revamp since 1996, as at the time of the original shoot it had been closed for some time and left in a rather neglected state (which played a part in the decision to shoot in relatively low light at night, covering up the imperfections with drapes and fabrics

I've never been diagnosed but I've been through 99% of the symptoms of this mental illness known as OCD for several years. I only recently visited a psychiatrist but I only went to a one session and she prescribed to me some medications for anxiety, don't remember the name of them. This weird thing in my brain fully started at the age of 15 as well, I guess it has something to do with puberty and the chemical changes in your brain at that stage of life. I managed with some willpower to stop rituals at the age of about 19 years old but mental compulsions remain there for several more years. I was able to get a job and work but not at my full potential because of the same issues about mental compulsions on a daily basis. literally one day I was a normal guy and then next day I got OCD out of the blue, I still remember the day and de circumstances I got it.

I got mine yesterday and i was floored by how quiet mine is when the shield down compared to my unshielded Vitamix from 1984. Even on speed 8. And I love how it makes short work of ice.

Thank you for sharing this about yourself. I know it wasn't easy. I, too, have OCD. Mine is more about plans and things in life getting off schedule, or just doing things that seem premature but all part of my "keeping my ducks in a row" mentality. For example, I had my cemetery monument installed but left the date of death blank. I'll probably not use it for 50+ years, but at least it's up. That's how I keep my ducks in a row. When people teased me about putting up my stone so early, I said "If you want something done right, I have to do it myself." But the least little deviation from my written or internal schedule or plan causes me great anxiety and depression. I was diagnosed with all of those things a long time ago. I am a very difficult person to work for because I have to micro-manage everything. I suppose I always will to a degree.

Nathan: Excellent video. Thank you for speaking publicly about OCD. I have had it since childhood when I was seven years old. Panic issues and obsessive worry and depression. I am better than I was before. I go through quite a few bars of soap. The contamination fears make me tired. thinking about them. I get really tired of washing rituals, obsessive worry trying to prevent things. I regret that I was not able to have a career. My friends years back have been able to work and I never could. Too impairing. Many have titles which sadden me since I could not hold down a job or futher my education. I would like to start a support group but it is not easy as far as doctor patient confidentuality . I detest the stigma of mental illness. Many have implied it was a choice. Hang in there and keep up the good fight against this disorder which is crippling and not understood by many. The stigma is getting better though as far as these types of neuro-biological disorders. I hate my ocd. I'm only a 12 year old girl and I went to Chicago for a weekend with my family and I repeatedly had images in my head of hitting my mom who I love very much and would never ever ever hurt. She is very supportive of me and I told her. I am very lucky she is always there for me she told me she knew I wouldn't hurt her and hugged me and helped me figure out ways to distract my self. When people walk by I sometimes picture hurting them as well. I'm very innocent. I also look and speak innocently because I am. I'm having suck a hard time because I'm not a little girl but I am. I cry constantly and I am trying to get through anxiety disorder and ocd I know it will get better some day so I do keep trying and I don't rely on medicine because your body can get addicted to it. If you have old or anxiety please talk to me! I understand all of it. Pictures and thoughts don't stop racing through your mind and sometimes they don't stop.

It's the exact same with me and it's annoying bc I try to get help from my family or friends but they don't have it as bad as I do or at all and they don't take it seriously, I don't know where to get help bc it has made me depressed over the years. I have suffered from this since I was 6 and I'm now 13

I mean ive heard about ocd i did researches but then i found out what i do is exactly what they're saying ive always just thought i was weird or because i just dont obey my mum it really got worse with time ._.

OH MY GOSH I never knew what was happening to me even since i was a child i wanted to harm well not harm but this obsessive idea i need to make my mum mad or just yell at her or Just do something and i still have it and i have other things like touch several times a thing and ._. ._.

What about repetitive thoughts that one has said or written something inappropriate, such as swearing at ones employer or writing hate-filled letters to a friend?!!!!!
