Is it true that in the UK, the law for a 250 watt motor maximizes at 15.5 mph pedal assisted? If you pedal faster than 15.5 mph, the motor cuts out? This is awful. The motor should stay on and if you pedal faster than you go faster. If the motor cuts out at 15.5 mph that's terrible. There's no way to make the bike go 30 mph. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Still seems you have to stress your tendons lifting fingers to operate the ball. I wish it was lower in profile.

BROMPTON ELECTRIC. "THE WORLDS MOST UNRELIABLE BIKE".. Both of my Electric Brompton"s continuously keep braking down. The poor quality bearings & electronics keep failing. Brompton knows about this. But just keeps replacing them with same the parts. Buy yourself several Chines copies for the same price. Or better still a Honda CBR 125cc motorcycle for the same price. Feel less disappointed & save yourself a fortune.

Brompton batteries are kinda available. I think £500 -£600 ( in 2024)

I can't find the power switch - there is no power switch next the the place where you plug it in and there is no power button on the bottom either - so frustrating!!!!!!

Bottom line - if you hate punctures and only have short journeys to make you'll love solid tyres ( ive been riding on mine for 8 years) . The Chinese ones i use are £11 to £15 , the tannus ones are £60 , work it out for yourself 😉

Probably the best Brompton ever made. But ridiculously expensive. And with its limited gearing. It would still struggle on the hills where I live. People have this obsession with bike weight. But if the gearing is not on par. It will still have serious limitations. If I have to face one particular hill where I live. Would I want to take it on with my 23lb Tern verge X11 with its amazing 10--42 11 speeds. 24 gear inches to 102 (£2,400). Or a 16lb Brompton Tline with its limited 4 gears (£4,500). I know the anwser.

I've bought a hob to use instead of a large cooker. Mine is identical, but has a different manufacturer's name. I turned it on as per instructions to season the coating and the large hob did emit some smoke and there is an unpleasant smell. I have a pet bird and so avoid Teflon. Everywhere I have looked says that mine is made of stainless steel and cast iron. My plan is to switch on a few times more when the bird is several rooms away. But I won't be able to use it for cooking if it continues to smell like this. I hope it is just the initial smell from new electrical items. I would be grateful if anyone else has any information to share.

❤ i looked it up only because I took out mine after 2 and half years and couldn't locate its manual. (I have kept all the manuals someplace and I don't remember where! I guess this memory loss started this 50th year of mine on this planet.) I had purchased this model after trying out others that failed miserably, in early 2020, for my son who was having breathing problems and i used to use it by putting a few drops of eucalyptus oil. After WUHAN (I call it what it is) VIRUS hit, I used to use it around the house alternating eucalyptus oil with lemongrass oil, pettermint oil and thyme oil. Then I packed it up after moving house in 2021. Took it out again TODAY because we again have a bloody virus strain in town. My son and I now stay with my elderly parents, so this will be useful around the house. Guess what? the bloody thing started off WITHOUT A HITCH! right from the box it was packed into 2 and half years ago. Great build quality!
