    Don’t you need to have it turned off the tank before putting that in and where does the off section on the tank? Where would that need to be facing which way?

      My understanding is the following: It does ac millivolts and dc millivolts. Ac amps with the clamp head attachment. No dc current. The manual is available in the Fieldpiece website for specific ranges. Thanks for watching.

    I've had one in my shop for years and it works great. I just had to order a new one because the thermocoupler went out. It was pretty old so I just ordered a new one. Like I said it warms up my double garage well.

  • @RMartin631

    I don't like the bracket that is supposed to hold the heater to the tank in the slightest. It seems flimsy and tilts the heater down. It seems like it was engineered as a second thought in someone's garage.

      If you have 100% confidence that you will be the only person to use the heater, you can cut it off with a pair of tin snips, wire cutters, whatever you have handy. If other people may be using it, leave the tag on it. The instructions for using the heater are on the tag.

    Does your unit freeze when it makes the clicking sound, then resume when the clicking sounds ends? The seller explained to me that its standard non uniform calibration for all thermal units. I don't know if thats the case because i've seen reviews of units that didnt have that problem, could it be just this model?

    • @learningcaffe5906
      @learningcaffe5906 6 місяців тому

      Yes. I believe is normal for this model. It will freeze for one second as it calibrates. The difference from other models might be the frequency, noticeability and noise level. Like with any other tool, the higher you go on price the smoother the operation. For my use, this camera gets the job done.

    • @learningcaffe5906
      @learningcaffe5906 6 місяців тому

      First one I get myself. I got it to pinpoint cold spots and points of entry for cold air on structure. Overall for the price range it's getting the job done; however, I want to run some tests to compare accuracy of temperature. I will be making a follow up video on the registration menu option and I will also go over the temperature comparisons with a hand held infrared thermometer.

      (If your question is about propane) Per manual, the following is the operating hours you can reasonably expect from bulk propane cylinders: with a 20 lb tank at Hi 28 hours, at Med setting 36 hours and at Lo setting 43 hours.

    You should never use an extension cord with a compressor. Each foot of wire has resistance and can drop the voltage low enough to burn up the motor's windings. A much safer way to extend your compressor's reach is adding more hose.

    • @learningcaffe5906
      @learningcaffe5906 6 місяців тому

      Thanks for comment. I would definitely choose to loose psi from extending air hose as long as it doesn’t affect performance of tools been used over voltage drop that would keep compressor from working properly or even damaging it.

    • @Darjan_Spasojevic
      @Darjan_Spasojevic 3 місяці тому

      Great comment. Always wondered why on some items it says " don't use extension cord"

    • @ronyerke9250
      @ronyerke9250 3 місяці тому

      @learningcaffe5906 extending the hose won't cause any pressure drop. The only affect is heavy hose to drag around, and it'll take a little longer for the compressor to turn off.
