Taran Tactical Benelli Ultimate 3 Gun Review
***Please like and subscribe!!***
Today I am reviewing the Taran Tactical Benelli Ultimate 3 Gun. My specific one is built off of a Benelli M1 Super 90 and has the following upgrades:
-Lightened Bolt with Taran’s Signature Bronze Ion Bonding
-Point of aim barrel correction
-Hi-Viz front sight
-12+1 mag tube
-3lbs removed from the factory trigger
-Stippling on the Handguard and Stock
-Oversized Bolt release
-Oversized Charging Handle
-Taran’s Safety
-Reliability work and respringing
-Opens up the magwell area for easier loading
-Low friction Follower
- Recoil butt pad modification
-Cheek weld modification
This is a shotgun that can be ran ridiculously fast. I have less than 1000 rounds through a shotgun and this is the softest shooting shotgun I have shot yet.

Nighthawk TRS Comp Review

Nighthawk TRS Comp Review Highlighting some of the various attributes of the TRS Comp. One of the absolute Flattest shooting 9mm’s on the market. *This is just the beginning for our gun reviews channel. We will be doing reviews on a consistent basis here coming up in the next few months. If there are any premium guns/accessories you would like us to review, drop a comment below and we will see ...
So that's the 24" one. I like the 21" too
Can I request Nighthawk to do a 2.5-3 LBS trigger?
Not yet, But hopefully soon.
How did the rose gold barrel holding up?
How would you compare it to your Firehaawk? Both are COMP guns but the TRS is weighted under the barrel (dust cover). What made you want the TRS Comp being that you already onwed a Firehawk? Have you ever done a comparison video??
Great video and pistol! This one is on my bucket list.
I know you said it'll run factory ammo, but will it run 115 grain reliably?
I haven’t had issues with it. :)
Just found your Video Eddie, great job buddy. Nick
What is this gun based on? Like the JW2 is based off the Glock 34
That would be the STI DVC-3 or now currently recognized as the Staccato XL
⚡️⚡️⚡️ Eddie is bad af
lets see some of your wilson combats !
Do you have the everlast recoil system in this one? If so, do you have to request that upgrade? Thanks
Woww but whats better Nighthawk Custom TRS Comp or STI STACCOTE XC i dont know who is better europ cost all two the same price.??
Was nh agent 2 a bad first 1911 style gun Oo
Edwardo is the man. He is what you call a “sleeper”. You wouldn’t expect him to be a phenomenal shooter by a simple glance. But while your busy thinking he’s a mediocre shooter and that you got this ha ha…. Next thing you know he just bamboozled you and impregnated your women.
almost no muzzle rise, wow!
What concealed carry holster would you suggest for the Firehawk ?
Las concealment Saya-L with discreet clips
@@thevaultatpistolparlour7841 thank you for the quick response & great suggestion! It has been ordered!!
@@f.u.q.u.a. anytime:)
TTi guns are pretty much all competition oriented jguns. A 2011 with a 1.1 pound trigger? For "Combat"? Calling it the "Combat Master"?? Might as well calll it the "Compeittion Master". :) TTi just wants to sell guns. without focusing on a particular path. They have a line of guns called the "Jown Wick Line" :) Talking about commercializing. And many gun nerds have bought into it without thinking. Funny how for a film based on a comic book about an assassin....they used competition guns (a few) and had Reeves trained by a competition shooter and not some one with "tactical combat experience". Ex Navy Seal maybe. Army Ranger? SWAT?? Use guns designed for "combat"... Buying guns or getting training. Need to know what you'r end goal is. What kind of shooter you want to be. What kind of shooting the gun will be used for. You want to train defensively training with a competition shooter isn't the way.
Great review brother! Kind of wish I had found your video before I made my purchase but I don’t think I’ll be upset with the Firehawk.
You won’t be :) the Firehawk is a perfect blend between modern and classic :)
Just picked it up from my FFL and headed to the range. Haven’t been this excited to shoot a new firearm in a while. Love your channel!
Is the comp and the barrel all one piece or is the comp welded on !?
It’s threaded on and then basically pin and welded
@@thevaultatpistolparlour7841 is that as good that all one piece. Can you tell the difference between a all one piece vs this system?
@@Chrisyalbir yeah you can tell a difference. The comp on my trs comp came loose twice🤦♂️
@@Melissa.712 good to know. So staccato XC or Atlas it is. That seems like a pretty big oversight for NH to not have a one piece comp/barrel.
@@Chrisyalbir I agree with you 100% Nighthawk should have gone with a one-piece system, but I believe the reason they didn't is because the vast majority of competition guns out there that have comps are in fact threaded on with Loctite and are not one piece like the staccato XC. Atlas's are awesome
I cannot imagine paying that much for a handgun - maybe one day
On your grip did the gun come factory with no beaver tail safety or did u change the grip. Or did the gun come entirely that way from nighthawk
I changed the grip. This is a Phoenix Trinity Aggressive Steel Grip. 10/10 would recommend if you like Aggressive grips.
Can you order it without the large mag well? Thanks! Enjoyed this!
Absolutely! I put that on after market :) Thank you so much for the kind words! -ER
WHAT holster are you using? Looks like a safariland ALS.. which are great duty holsters. Looking at getting this handgun but need an appropriate duty holster. Do you have a model #..
I had a guy on Instagram customize this holster. His name is Ghostmen Designs, it is a Safariland ALS :) reach out to him because he heats up the kydex and does a bunch of modifications.
@@thevaultatpistolparlour7841 thanks for the reply. So basically I get a safariland ALS for the staccato and have this Ghostman designs modify it for a government size 1911..
@@Dex8357 you can source it or he might have one. I know he is a busy guy and might be hard to get a hold of. The only other holsters I have heard of that you can get close with are the smith and Wesson 5” guns with rds of course and the sig x5 or full size holsters from the Safariland 6000 series of holsters.
@@thevaultatpistolparlour7841 thanks a lot man..
@@thevaultatpistolparlour7841 I tried reaching out to ghostman designs, they don’t respond to IG or the messages on their site.
Thank you for sharing
I'm sure the weight of the light helped in reducing the recoil vurses the Springfield Operator you compared it to
Oh it definitely helps but it’s nothing compared to what the Compensator does. I have shot many many guns over the years and compensated 2011’s are in a league of their own.
This gun is simple or double action?
Single Action.
@@thevaultatpistolparlour7841 tanks, exelent review
Just walk into the vault and say "I'd like a tasting"😁
"I know your past fondness for the German varietals but I can wholeheartedly endorse the new breed of Austrians."
Great video brother 👍 and spected out what was the out the door for the Nighthawk TRS comp the way you have yours minus minus flashlight and optic Interested in getting one I already have the XC and p dpo? Great shooting by the way 👏
Do this gun have STI stamp on it and never been fire before? Can you make video where you take it apart?
This is not an STI, this is a full Taran Tactical 2011 that is built on a Wide Body frame. As for disassembly, it’s pretty much just like any Bull Barrel 1911/2011.
That is a beautiful pistol, I want one..... anyone need a kidney?
A head to head with staccato XC is a must
Would love to know the list of mods on this gun, what type of barrel coating is that?
Titanium nitride in rose gold, got it. Super dope gun
Here is the official build. Trs Comp iOS with rmr plate French border Wide cocking serrations with cocking serrations in front Rose gold barrel with fluted barrel hood DLC finish Ambi safety Machined back trigger to a shorter length Stippled front of trigger
Between the Firehawk and the TRS, are there major differences, is one hands down your favorite, ref all around? Is the trigger just too light for carry? Great video, thanks again?
Not really, just more weight due to the full rail on the TRS Comp. Both shoot amazing! Trs is strictly double stack 9mm where a Firehawk you can do 45 and 9mm. ( 45 single stack only)
@@thevaultatpistolparlour7841 I always felt the number of rounds isnt as critical as how much you train and put them On target, 8+ 1 .45 rounds can get you in a life time of trouble , for years I carried a model 64 on duty, and I survived ?
Good review. I was waiting for this gun to come out. but im kinda disapointed by the looks of it.. The old STI version looked Alot better IMHO.
would you say the recoil impulse on the fire hawk is vastly different than a normal 9mm 1911? looking at the fire hawk or the trooper in 9mm and wondering if the comp is worth it for an extra 1,000 dollars.
Ohhhhhh yeah. It’s a night and day difference!!!
@@thevaultatpistolparlour7841 thanks for letting me know! I'll go with the firehawk then. Lol I too have very small fingers so this platform is a go to for me.
Beautiful gun. I just picked up a Staccato C2 duo And I have to say the CM is absolutely next on my list however if I ordered one now I won hundred percent would be getting a divorce so I’m gonna have to wait at least a year. However it definitely sounds like it’s worth the wait. By the way nice shooting
@H Rivera lmao 🤣
Hell yeah, Eddy! I went to look up the TRS comp and you made a video! Best store in the country right here because of this guy.
Thank you man :)
WHAT WOULD BE YOUR LOAD ON THIS TO SHOOT FLATER ON USPSA SETTING? WHAT HOLSTER YOUR USING?
Typically because it’s a minor power factor Gun, run 124gr, a faster burning powder and you should be good.
I have been playing with other powders and actually prefer the slower burning stuff! Vihtavhouri N350 or 3N37 or 3N38 would be great. If you don’t wanna drop the loot on that, look for powders in about that area of the burn rate chart
Who’s the poor that gave this a thumbs down?
What's price tag on that ..I have a staccato P..2011... I. Like to get me one of those
Ballpark 6,000-7,500
Amazing pistol. 👏
Chunky port, chunky boy burger
New sub here thanks nice pistol.please show pistols the average Joe can afford thanks for your time I have a nighthawk g.r.p.and I love it.
The range you're shooting at in this video. It's not Rio Salado, is it?
No it isn’t :/
It's very nice I just shot mine today.
Great job Eddy
I ordered my first all steel 1911 last year, and I just found out , its going to finish now reference DLC finish? Its a shadowhawk ,Commader,High cut grip, optics cut , yada yada?My other Nighthawk , is a Carry Plus made into .45 , they are usually 9mm, I didnt realize how stout the spring is, with my arthritis, its very difficult for me to reassemble, it has a 3.8” barrel , and officer sized grip, bull barrel, and is nitrided.compared to my Ultra light commander with a bushing , I find much easier?great info, I subscribed?i shot 50 rounds through it, and went to clean it, and realized its not easy for me to reassemble, im Gonna get rid of because that, if anyone wants a light weight , and very compact 1911 , which very very accurate , ill consider a trade?
You're a young man. Please take better care of health. This is being said from a position of love not hate. Poor health will cut short anything you love doing, especially things you're good at, like shooting. Peace
In the process man. Been eating better and working out on a consistent basis.
@@thevaultatpistolparlour7841 Blessings brother. You can do it!!
Eddy is great to work with, very knowledgeable and friendly
Thank you Mr. Meeker :)
Nighthawk is a terrible company to do business with.
