@@juanofthekind i am working on a tutorial for characters but not with DAZ. You should try to understand the cycles nodes first to be able to translate them. As I remember it there was a lot of node just to get the SSS working nicely

Yes you can follow the course with the latest version of blender octane. My quixel bridge workflow has changed a bit. I have a new method to import the textures. I will update that part with a new video next week.

That never happens with me but here s what i d do. Select groups of objects. Save them in seperate blend files. Then open each of them until you find the culprit. You could have a very heavy object somewhere. You can also check your hdri. Could be very heavy if it s a 8k. Also purge every unused item and textures.

No, but there is a much better option. You can now use the Chaos Texture node which does the same thing.

Which version are you running? Its not crashing for me. You might need to update to the latest version. Or report that to otoy if it keeps malfunctioning.

The whole purpose of this video is to show how to make it work with octane. There are tons of videos on ssskin for cycles.

I have put a year and a half of learning on my own, of trials and errors, of render tests, of digging into the octane manual to create this. I've made a very clear and usefull tutorial in my opinion. I see you already have most of my free tutorials in your list. Some things don't come for free. I'll have a 30% discount for the next easter holidays.

The build in chaos texture node has replaced that kind of method. Try it. It s much simpler.

That is very good question! there is a target node in blender octane but the manual doesn't say anything about it. let me check that out...

I do cover multiple cameras with different focal etc, in the tutorial though. Also, you can have different shaders in your object node graph. I would sugget just plugging on or off your different materials, if changing materials in final render is what your are looking for.
