When the Hippo first went to the water hole about 3 weeks ago it had bite makes along its back and a large bite mark hole on its roght side.
Hippo fight all the time, you see some nasty injuries on them a lot, they are very resilient. This one is old, and the young Spotted Hyena I think know this.
New subscriber. I have a question: there is a leopardess named Xidulu who has a male cub named Nehne at another location -- I think it maybe Djuma? but I'm not sure. Could this be the same leopardess who traveled from that location to this, or is coincidence that both females have the same name & both have cubs? Also, is this cub a male or female. And would you know what that is floating in the water - they seem unperturbed by it.
Hello and thanks for the sub. Xidulu in my video is at Jabulani which is situated in the Kapama reserve, Djuma is situated within the Sabi Sands reserve around 80km apart.

@@juanvaskez2488 I am afraid we know very little about them. They moved into the area some months ago, we know the older is called Lomanaa but no more. Lion Guardians give information from time to time.

Both of the Male are collared, and some of the female's. They collared them, so are able to track as the villagers collect reeds from the reed beds.

I could be totally wrong but guessing these are the Nkuhumas. There were 4 lioneesses on Djuma Game Reserve attempting to hunt as well. Thanks for sharing.
I saw reports of them, but the lion guru's have said nothing as yet.

Shoulder height is 45-55cm same, but the weight is different Steenbok 10-15kg Grysbok 8.13kg

Herd? I think you might mean Clan. Brown Hyena are mainly solitary and usually only come together for mating.
I believe there was a cheetah family here a month or so ago. I wonder if these are the young adults. An all-male coalition would be great for them. Lovely animals.
