Thanks, I was looking at getting that one or one similar and this video helped.
Glad that the video helped you make your decision!
I’m a new subscriber, I’m liking what you’re doing 😊
Thanks for watching! Appreciate it!
I love the detail of your video bro. Subscribed!
Thank you for watching!
If it is aluminum can't you buzz off the end of the fence to get the ruler in the correct spot next to the blade?
You can but you still need a bit of offset. If you cut it, then the fence still need to be really close to the blade. But you definitely can. I just prefer to keep it as is. Thanks for watching!
@@ycmakesThanks, Great video. I just ordered one.
@@MrDjslav5 thank you! Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I do!
Great review! I just bought this exact miter gauge about a month ago. Took a risk since there weren't many reviews at the time. I love your idea about offsetting it a known quantity. I think I'll steal that idea and see if I can add an attached extension on the right side that is removable and sacrificial.
Love it! Let me know how the offset works!
When i put the filaments the printer make alone nozzle temperature and hotbed or i make it manually
There is a preset that comes with the printer for nozzle and hotbed temp depending on your filament. But you will have to learn how to find configuration for different types of filaments. These days it's pretty easy to do with orca slicer or creality print. They have calibration tab
@@ycmakesmy printer k1 max same you
Sorry I think I misunderstood the question. Are you asking about setting up filament profile to print, or are you asking about how to change filament?
@@ycmakes i mean first time to use any filaments or change it need to change temperature or automatically alone the printer make it
It's not automated. You have to heat the nozzle to make sure that you can load the filament
Wow - I dont care if it costs 5 times the amount to bring this beauty back to life - it’s fabulous - what a find!
Thank you! It's fun to find and restore these old beauty!
Well done - I love watching the process of hand made and not “electronic” made… great vid !
Thank you very much!
Great build - now the question is, how much did appreciate you? lol.
Thank you! Well let's just say the video I'm working on right now was filmed with nicer camera 😅
@@ycmakes 🤣🤣👍🏻
Fabulous build - looking forward to seeing more ( humour is great)! New sub!
Welcome aboard!
That's clean😎👌🏼
Grindernya kebesaran sep, tangan loe bisa gede sebelah lama lama 😅
Setuju. Bakalan beli 1 atau 2 cordless yang lebi kecil haha
Good work for trying something new!
Very cool thanks. Do the side hinges screw into the side window? So do you have to drill holes into the side window? 😊. Thanks. Laurie. NZ.
No. This hinge fit into the original hinge hole.
What hinges are those?

Working hard!!
Great upgrades. Can you share the type of lights you installed in your K1 max?
Nice...I have a Genno hammer head which I picked up from a Japan trip as well and need to make myself a handle soon! Thanks for the inspiration
Awesome! You'll have fun! This project is so satisfying!

Great video @YCMakes and thanks for the shoutout! A few words of caution for anyone looking to learn Autodesk Fusion (formerly 'Fusion 360'). There are many free tutorials on UA-cam and paid courses that teach bad practices/habits. Spend some time reading the comments and do some due diligence on how long the author has been using Fusion + parametric CAD in general. It'll be easy to form good habits from the start then fix the bad habits. 😄 Two quick tips per what I saw in your Fusion file at 8:05. -Always create a component for each individual part. This will be key when you start creating multi-part assemblies and need to use Joints (and other features). -Fix any warnings (yellow highlights) and errors (red highlights) in the timeline as they come up. These are often reference related due to the parametric nature. If you wait to fix them later they will typically cause a chain reaction creating other warnings/errors in the timeline. ps. Love the thumbnail of this video 👏
@ProductDesignOnline thank you for taking the time to reply! I will keep the best practice in mind! Appreciate the reminder!
@@ycmakes you're welcome. Happy learning 😁
I’m a SketchUp guy. I need to make the leap to Fusion though
@BustedKnuckleWoodworks you should! Parametric modeling is game changer! Once it clicks, you'll wonder why you didn't pick up Fusion earlier!
Where do you get the stl files
Hey there - go to printables and search for ycmakes and you'll be able to find his awesome upgrade
www.printables.com/model/745129-creality-k1-max-top-sliding-glass-riser-low-ride-l
Link to STL files, that looks awesome
Thank you! The printables link has the STL. Do. You have issue finding the link? Should be under files
I just wanted to mention onshape as a possible alternative to 360. I am a rhino 3d user and that is like $995 to get into so it's expensive really to start. But onshape is free for personal usage. I think 360 costs now if i am not mistaken just a heads up.
Ooh yeah I heard about them! I only have time to learn one at a time though... And I already invested time to learn fusion for now.. But one day!
I only use hot water and dish soap to clean the bed plate.... I also found having a extremely stable shelf for the printer is needed and the rubber feet they give caused more issues than help and they made my k1 vibrate to much.
I used the hot water and dish soap every 5 prints or something.. In between I wear gloves when I touch the build plate and I use alcohol just for maintenance. Also my k1 sit on bay window so it's as stable as putting it on the floor without putting it on the floor. Lol
I think a K1 max as first printer isnt the best idea when you want to get into 3d printing......creality has a discussable track record when it comes to user service.
I don't disagree with that. I mentioned that prusa and Bambu are the current gold standard. The rest are tinkerer printer.. I picked creality since I don't mind tinkering a bit and so far it's been good to me. I try not to get into recommending specific brand since I dont have experience with all of them. But I think if people wants their first 3d printer, they should just pick one from the bigger brand and also expect learning curve no matter which brand they choose.
Well done, great application for the MicroJig System! I like to purchase a set of those folding brackets you have. Can you possibly include a link to where you purchased them?
Thank you! I got the bracket a while back on Amazon. Just search for folding shelf bracket. The one I got is the 20 inch one.
It is always a good day when I discover a hidden gem of a youtube channel, love your humour and general presentation, looking forward to more videos.
Thank you for the kind comment!
I was ready to ask you which printer I should get the next time I saw you at dodgeball, and then you put this out! Awesome video Yoseph
Get the creality if you want bigger print volume. Otherwise, if you want ease of use, bambulab P1S or bambulab A1, whichever fit your budget.
lol you have like 4 subscribers. Didnt even notice I thought you had a few thousand at least. Keep up the good work. One gripe I had with the video was that the music was quite loud at times. Please take it as constructive criticism thank you for the productivity tips they are also applicable to my bachelors thesis right now and I am procrastinating writing it by woodworking :D
Thank you so much for your input! I really appreciate it! Honestly, I learned these tips from my day job as a Consultant and Project Manager. So I'm sure it's applicable to things beyond woodworking as well! Good luck on your thesis!
As an Operations Manager, I’ve learnt, procrastination only comes back to bite you…. Great tips. Smaller goals, timelines and allow room for human error.
Good work!!
If you don’t make it as a woodworker….do comedy about woodworking. I think you’ll be a hit.
Like your style.
Hahahaha the newtonian clamp 😅
I enjoy the humor
Looks great! Hand tool work is so rewarding!
It really is!
Looks goood!!
