It's lame the remake cut out the "don't you want to touch me, I can't do anything behind these bars... come get me" line. It was such a great line, and it was delivered really well from the original voice actress that put emphasis on Maria trying to seduce James. It made her feel more sinister. I guess it's too PrObLeMatiC for 2024.

i definitely dislike the way the new voice for maria sounds, especially during the first part of the scene. theres no emotion, no tone, no silence between sentences and words, it doesn't feel... eerie. unlike the old one.

I really DON'T like the James of the movie trailer return to silent hill, he is totally different...Was so hard to choose an actor that actually resembles the video game main character?😢

the orginal has a music and tone to it, words are tender and echo like a melody...its full of longing, and attraction play. However, meanwhile... the new dialogue is just uh...dialogue...

Lol, the amount of hate the remake gets is ridiculous. Trashing the VA for her lines and tone when, in reality, the OG VA sounds more horrible. Typical "OG is the best; we are blind to see how horrendous the voice acting was along with the shitty combat. I decided to hate it because a lot of people do and I wanna feel like I belong." Ahh, people. I love the original; nothing can replace it. But god, I'm not that blind to see how the game is much better now. (Except for the part that Angela's face is a bit off in this, but it's fixed now.)

James. James. James. Carlos. In all seriousness, I do appreciate how the movie kept à part of his face in the shadow like in the games (and unlike in the remake trailer)

Y'know what? people will complain on anything they can, like you'd create one of the best sequals ever on planet but there will be some people who'd just hate for literally a pin point, such people are good to be ignored. Remake is great, sound design was awesome and voice actors also did great on their roles.

The original voices were so so perfect. The aloofness fit the theme of broken people better. The remake makes these characters seem more pained than broken.

If you understand the art fundamental of values, you'll understand why the original looks so amazing still.
