i felt the EXACT same way about wild love!! i love the chestnut springs series with my whole heart (heartless and reckless are some of my fav books EVER) but i took weeks to finally finish wild love. it wasn’t even that i didn’t like it (granted i didn’t LOVE it) but it just dragged and dragged on for weeks, which usually with elsie’s books i finish them within one or two sittings. it just wasn’t a right book for me ig.

I totally wish I could do this. The longest I have ever read was 15 hours straight!! That was because I wanted to finish a book and the book was good, then the second one was really good too!!❤❤

I made a rule for myself. If I reach page 100 and I’m not drawn into the story, I will move onto a different book. The reason is because more likely if I force myself to keep reading a book, I will fall into a reading slump.

I would 100% recommend reading the Assassins Blade third! That’s what I did years ago and I always tell people to do it, because it just makes the most sense once you get to Heir of Fire.

I read Wait For You a few years ago, and I liked it. In fact, it's the only Jennifer Armentrout book I've ever read as I'm not much of a fantasy reader.
