Not only is this great education (mining history, safety, shortness of breath at elevation, mountain ranges, snow runoff, etc) but I was cracking up when I realized the differences in each of your interests. “Check out all of this old equipment and scary mining shafts!” vs “look at these rocks! I think I’ll crack a few open!” 😂😂😂 Love it!

One suggestion is that if that 80 foot run of wire isn't sunlight resistant wire, then I would suggest that you replace the exposed wire that you used and replace it with sunlight resistant wiring. Non UV resistant wiring will only last you a couple of seasons if you're lucky. The second suggestion is that when that high frequency, transformerless inverter fails, (and trust me, you'll be lucky to get a year or two worth of service out of that transformerless inverter.) I would suggest that you purchase a low frequency, transformer based inverter instead. You'll get a much longer life expectancy (10 to 15 years) and much higher 300% surge capacity from a low frequency inverter.
