Quick and fast tutorials and demos for Daz Studio... you will need to be familiar with basic Daz Studio navigation and commands, there are plenty of beginner tutorials out there so I am not covering those features in these videos.
Guide for creating on other base shapes and fitting to G9
Learn how to tailor your clothing designs directly on supported character shapes within Daz Studio, and then seamlessly revert them to the Genesis 9 base form.
NOTE : Make sure you model on a figure without any proportions dialed in - so for the toon figures I recommend actually exporting the model you get with this method and use that to model your clothing on.

Hey Hi, I need a help from you regarding Daz Studio. If you are still on UA-cam please reply, I really need your help
Yes I am still on youtube. What is your question.
Turn on the cursor, dumbass
I would have thought there would be a fold or crease around the deltoid of the raised arm. But with poofy sleeves, it's not that certain.
The look you get depends on how the mesh was constructed. If its lower poly with larger polygons it will look like stiffer material with less folds because a polygon can't bend in the middle. The denser the mesh the more folds you get, but it will also be more unpredictable and take longer to simulate.
I'm trying to view the transcript. Too bad it's in spanish. Is it available in English?
I have no idea why its giving you spanish transcripts, there are none available. Sorry!
I need to add icons to my original work so they can be sold online. How do I add icons to an animation inside the smart content. I need there to be a picture on the icon when you look in the file of the smart content. do you know how to do this or of a tutorial for that?
Thank you very much!
Ye but you don't show how to make the dress though
No I don't - that's a whole other section with lots of tutorials out there. This video covers how to add dforce to an existing garment in Daz Studio, like the title says.
Absolutely amazing!
Hey it was so fun interviewing you! What a great job we did! ❤
uff, that's honestly too much work and time consomuning, when I'm not happy with dforce, I just use meshgrabber. I never use any other 3D software aside from Daz3D.
Good information. I might add as a profligate purveyor of dForce clothing items, there is a trick that you can use in addition which is to apply a push modifier with the following alterations: Once applied (I recommend by the way that you name it something other than "Mesh Offset" when you apply it) go to the cog in the Parameters tab for your push modifier, and change it's location to something like "Morphs/My object name". Select "Modifier Shape". Click "Use Limits" and set the maximum to .5, set the default to .05, set the nudge to .05, select some colors that will make it easily identifiable from a list, and save it as a morph asset for the clothing item. Then every time you load the item, it will automatically have a very subtle push modifier applied which in 99% of cases defeats any poke through your pose or animation imposes and it cases where it isn't enough, simply nudge the value up until it works. I call it "Poke Through Fix" in the morphs list for everything I make. It makes a lot of headaches go away. You can see it in action at our website: causam3d.com Thanks for the weight node information. We're going to start creating dForce hair and it may well come in handy for this.
My clothes keep exploding no matter what i do. I give up.
Nice work, I mainly do animation and graphic design myself, so I can appreciate all the effort you've put into it.
Thank you!
Mada, great video. Do you find that when you bake the joint rotations the upper body joints jump around? I have all things lined up, zero positions. Then I bake the rotations and transfer the shoe. Then the shoe sits to high because the bones changed. Keep in mind the only things that changed where the foot pose. No other morphs or changes made to form.
Hi - no I have not found that - make sure that you're using a base figure with no hip translations?
Do you ever tried ERC Freeze with Rigid Follow Node? I have a cloth with buttons that I riggid follow noded. Each time I ERC Freeze a certain JCM, it looks good at first, but once I bend the character, the button fly all over the place. They moved. Do you know how to solve this?
Hi - memorize the button nodes/rigging after you set up the button bone, or work on your erc without the buttons, it doesn't make a difference to the ERC if the buttons aren't loaded. I have 2 files when working on RFN - a shirt saved as a normal figure in a subfolder in my product directory, and a shirt saved as a wearable with the buttons in the main folder For morphs and ERC I work on the shirt without buttons. After saving the erc and morphs on the shirt without buttons I load the wearable preset and the erc and morphs will load as well since they're now in the shirt data folder.
this is an AWESOME VID AND CHAN...SUBSCRIBED
I love your voice ^^ it's a plaisure to follow your tutorial, thank you very much. ;)
Why there is no "Scripts" in my toolbar....
The folder is created when you set up your first custom script link - if you haven't created a custom action yet it won't show in the menu :)
Hum, yes very useful and interesting! So I could do the same thing if for instance I wanted to remove a belt from another outfit, that dose not have a separate belt accessory. Then make it into an accessory? I guess what I'm asking is, how would I remove a belt from an outfit that doesn't have a selectable belt and turn it into an accessory?
Without seeing the mesh, my advice would be to select all polygons that doesn't belong to the belt and delete them with the polygon editor. Then you can either resave the belt under a completely different name (important otherwise you'll overwrite the full version), or you can export as an obj and take it from there.
@@MadadeLeeuw Yeah, that's basically what I ended up doing. I saved a separate belt from the dress and separate dress from the belt. Love your tutorials! Always so informative and helpful.
How to adjust the rotation? I still dont understand, i have riggid node set up but for some pose the rotation seem off
That means you have to double check that you parented the rigid follow node itself to the correct bodypart in the clothing, as a default it comes in parented to the hip but if your belt is a bit higher then parenting it to the lower abdomen might work better. You also have to play around a bit with where you attach the node, I found that selecting either more or less polygons as the base can make a big difference.
Thanks, very useful
Excellent tutorial, really straight to the point and no extrenous waffle, top marks!
Best tutorial I've seen on using dforce simulation, thankyou Mada
Am I allowed to say, your voice and accent is amazing?
That was very good and helpful, thank you !....😀 Thumbs up and subscribed !
Mada, you Rock!!! Thanks for this!
I want to learn how to use Daz Studio for comics. One thing that I cannot find a tutorial on is how to create dynamic hair & clothes to represent movement in a still image. For example, I want to create the illusion of hair blowing in the wind or a dress taking a different shape as the character moves around. Whenever there’s windy weather conditions or the character is in an action pose, both the hair & clothing will be affected. Although I want to depict movement, I’m not talking about animation. I want to create a still image of this movement, rather than an animation, because I want to be able to draw over it.
You can also create a custom Toolbar in the toolbars section and then enable it by going to the Activities tab > Advanced > Toolbars and setting your custom toolbar to 'On'
Yes there are lots of different ways to set it up - this is the way I like to work :)
Thanks awesome :) thanks for sharing
Very useful, Thanks!
Wow your toturials are great! Thank you! Do you teach how to create clothes specific for daz?
Whoa, how did you get those one-click buttons to load a G8F and apply the shader?
Hey - I show how to set up custom icons in this video :)
do i have to install the dforce? because i dont have that option " dforce modifier and surface simulation settings"
yes you have to install the dForce Starter Essentials in DIM :)
Thank you sooooooooo much for this. I've recently started to learn Blender, and one of my first projects was to create some outfits to use in Daz. I quickly ran into the whole "clothes look paper thin" issue, and after studying some properly made Daz clothes, I was quite satisfied with myself when I managed to figure out a procedural method (i.e. using modifiers) for adding thickness to edges. Only to then get rather depressed when I realized that thickened edges didn't work with dForce... so this tutorial is a life saver!
Awesome :) glad I could help
i second that. collapsing edges is a no go, but this totally saves that. well done
Hello, nice trick
This is great! super helpful.
Thanks a lot!
Thank you ... Love your tutorials :-)
You're back! I thought something bad happened.
Just super busy :) 2020 is keeping me hopping lol
Thank you!
wow
oh wow
Thanks for your kind tutorial!
Thank you for this easy to follow tutorial :-)
Very helpful! Thank you so much! Maybe someone knows, can I save graft as clickable thumbnail (to make it appear in product file hierarchy) somehow?
Nvm, I figured out. Just for someone maybe will be helpful: save as->properties preset->Other
Thank you for this. This helped me a lot! Very good results.
Hi when i use fit in flip flops how do i make the back dangle?
You have to add weight from the foot part to the toes with the weightmap tool. Then when you move the toes the flip flop will follow the toes instead of the foot part :)
