Deliverance was formed in 2013 by Etienne Sarthou (guitar, also in Karras, Freitot and founding member of AqME) and Pierre Duneau (vocals, ex- Memories of a dead man).
After a 1st album (“CHRST”, 2017) and a 2nd record (“Holocaust 26:1-46”, 2020), both critically acclaimed (in magazines such as RockHard, Legacy, New Noise…), the 3rd full-length effort "Neon Chaos in a Junk-Sick Dawn" (2022) opens a new ambitious chapter. If its black metal and sludge DNA is still strong, the band draws new influences from psychedelic rock and progressive music from the 70’s (such as Pink Floyd), and even contemporary indie-rock / electronic music which are unprecedented in this musical sphere. This 3rd album, has enabled the band to sign with prestigious label Les Acteurs de l’Ombre.
Deliverance played at Hellfest Festival 2022 in front of thousands of fans at the Temple stage (alongside Watain, Alcest and Regarde les hommes tomber).
