What makes this scene hurt is the fact that your partner was a coward, always scared to face tough situations. After meeting you, they learn to be brave. You mean the world to them. For you to just disappear after saving the world without them knowing will crush their soul to broken pieces. The friendship you built after all this time…the two of your are soulmates, inseparable. The very best of friends who deserve the world.

Me when i said goodbye to my best friend when no one was looking i hid myself and was crying like a big baby tears were like rivers she was my first friend i made in high school and time to time i get a little depressed about it but i just sadly shrug it off i hope i see my best friend soon.

This was an incredible experience. I played the game about 10 years ago, but the stings I feel in my heart from watching this video strike me as hard as they did back then. This was an incredibly well-done game. So much better than the corporate dogshit they release these days.

So the scene where the human disappears isn’t what gets me. What instantly makes me cry is when at the beach after reminiscing about the human, the partner breaks down crying. That part hurt me the most

On another note, I'm so glad I didn't play this game because making Grovyle disappear and THEN making us disappear right after that is just so evil, who in their mind thought "Hey, the player was just sad half a second ago, let's make them even MORE sad". But of course, since I didn't play this sad story, GF had to produce Gen5's story to make me feel sad.

I only wish for future generations to be able to experience this masterpiece of a game at least once.

This actually managed to make me cry, not a lot of stories can do that. I honestly think they should've let my character die, but I'd be lying if I wasn't glad that my partner got to reunite with me lol. My poor partner, I kept apologizing to him behind the screen, couldn't help it at all...

This game is very old , it's been ten years since I play this game, this scene always make me cry no matter what this game is more emotional than any other Pokémon games

I remember hysterically crying to the ending. I was Cyndaquil and my partner was Mudkip. I was like scream crying when I saw Mudkip get sad and desperate. Then worse when he was on the beach reminiscing of our adventures. It was awful to see my partner that I got so attached to mourn my character’s death. That’s such a realistic display of emotion and grief. This game has a special place in my heart ❤
