Just messing around on the bicycles.
Carrizo Plain Bikepacking // Clouds, Grass, Flowers & Friends
Another bikepacking video, this time out in the Carrizo Plain with Nacho and Jeremy. We headed out on Saturday morning and parked at a lookout point. From there we had lunch, packed the bikes up and headed out. It was colder than I would have liked but over all good weather with cloud coverage on and off all day on both days. We rode about 24 miles the first day and 31 on the second day. Now that we have explored the area a bit we plan to return and extend the route one day. I'm just glad the route I blindly planned worked out (mostly). Maybe a bit early in the season to see full bloom of all the flowers, but was still good views all around.

Bikepacking The Desert // Slab City & Bombay Beach
Переглядів 4097 місяців тому
For this trip David and I started out in Mecca, meeting up with around 15 other people or so. We were on the street a bit, then rode along the Coachella Canal most of the day. The wind was relentless, nonstop cross and headwinds like I have never experienced. I was basically blown off my bike around 3 or 4 times. Having to ride with the bike tipped to one side to counter balance against the win...
Sunday Morning Tandem
Переглядів 47Рік тому
Went for a tandem ride around town with Carsen yesterday. Only my second time being on a tandem, and it went good. We did around 27 miles, and I felt like i had energy to do another 60. The power is spread out pretty evenly and its a very smooth bike overall. Sitting on the back is fun, having to braking or shifting responsibilities, I can just spin my legs and hold on, or not. Thanks for watch...

Went out to Catalina Island a couple weeks ago for a bikepacking trip. It was a very successful adventure, with lots of fun riding. This video is just the clips of actual riding, I uploaded a longer version of the trip too. Shout out to David for riding with me and planning most of the trip! First Bikepacking Trip // Catalina Island Long Cut
Переглядів 914Рік тому
Went and stayed on Catalina Island a couple nights, for my first bikepacking trip. Lots of uphill and lots of downhill, bumpy roads and spiders in the night. David and I explored the area around Avalon and got some dinner, then rode to Blackjack campground, totaling about 21 miles the first day. Day two we visited the airport, and then rode back to Avalon for lunch and more exploring, we began ...
Shining Scratched Seat Post // Vintage MTB vs Dremel
Переглядів 76Рік тому
Got tired of the scratched up post on my Hardrock recently and took some sandpaper and a dremel to it, I thought it turned out okay. I figured the Rockhopper deserved the same treatment. It ended up better than my last attempt and I am over all very happy with the result. For only using 240 grit sandpaper (all I had in my dremel kit) its fairly smooth. I will probably go back to do the Hardrock...
Lakeside Ride // Snapped Valve Stem & Snakes
Переглядів 49Рік тому
Went out for a chill ride on this spring afternoon, all was well until my valve stem broke. Other than that weather was nice and warm, plenty warm enough for snakes to be hanging out too. Found a random key, and not one other person on the trail so we took that and turned it into a ranger. I set my bike up to take a video with my phone when I was surprised by the rattle snake I basically laid m...
My First Snapped Chain // Getting a Tow
Переглядів 281Рік тому
I got this far through life without ever snapping a chain but I guess it was my time. Made it a little over 24 miles of what would have been about 31 mile ride before my chain gave out. Attempted a few different road side repairs but it all failed. Being near NOTHING, lucky for me Art has an ebike. I did not film much of the ride, but wanted to throw a video together, I want to start making vid...
Blue Oak With Friends // Three Bikes Three Eras
Переглядів 246Рік тому
Went out to Blue Oak trail by Millerton Lake with David and Alex. Lots of rain recently and this was our second muddy ride in two days. The day before this we kept it local so Alex could get used to his new bike I sold him, but It was time for a simple trail to kick things off. The trail was super slick in some spots and perfect in others. I went over my bars, and David pretty much went off a c...
A Drive Through Kings Canyon National Park
Переглядів 242 роки тому
Took the GoPro with me on a day trip and figured I could get some pretty cool shots of the canyons. Mostly driving, with a bit of walking. We hiked about 45 minutes before the rain started, but we had already finished up smoking pot by then so we headed back to the car. We were soaked by the time we got back but it was a fun day with odd weather.
Warm Saturday Spins // Fresno City Ride

Well the GoPro angle was a bit off all day and my battery ended up dying about half way though the ride. I was able to get some clips together to make this little edit. Nothing too crazy, just riding through town a bit, and part of the Woodward Park loop. Riding with the homie Alex on his Aventon. Hanford To Fresno Fixed Gear // Train There & Cycle Home
Переглядів 1972 роки тому
Caught the morning train over to Hanford and explored a bit before getting some food and heading home. The ride was about 42 miles total, counting the ride home and exploring downtown Hanford. Rough roads and potholes would be an understatement for some of the roads we traveled today. Mostly farm roads that we took in long straight lines. Wind was also not nice to us today but over all a really...
Clown Bike Volume 2 // Specialized Bars x Hot Wheels Frame

Another kids bike about to be thrown away turned into something beautiful. As with the last Clown bike video, I rode about 2 and a half miles while filming on this thing. Hot Wheels Huffy frame 1995ish Specialized bars/stem and grips Bell seat 92' GT bars as a seat post. I want to get some more of these put together and race them one day. Thanks for watching! A Rat Roams The Alleys // MTB Goes Fixed

Took a shortcut through the alleys on my morning ride yesterday. Short video and pretty straight forward concept. GoPro angle a bit off on this one.. uploaded directly from the camera. Raw video. Riding my rat bike, made up of a Mongoose frame, Schwinn stem, Specialized forks, Amazon bars, fixed gear wheels off an old bike, an angry bottom bracket, and an old fixed gear crank. Also I ride this ...
Clovis Community Chillin // Morning Rat Bike Ride

Went for a simple ride this morning on the rat bike. Ended up at Clovis Community hospital and did a loop around the main road. Don't mind the horrible noise coming from my bottom bracket, this bike is made up of like 6 different bikes. Going to be making a longer video exploring the area more with a different bike pretty soon. Fun fact, I was born here. Thanks for watching! Subscribe for more ...

Do you know why on my bike I can barely move the gear on the left?
@Lyonati your derailleur or barrel adjuster probably needs to be dialed in. Lots of videos on how to fix both fairly easily here on UA-cam.
@@DmofukinLee thanks
How do you get there?
Auberry road to powerhouse road and you'll run into it.
Between northfork and auberry
Are permits required to take bikes on to the island?
Not to take them on the island but you need a wilderness permit if you plan on leaving the city and going camping and such.
Wow Catalina Island as your first bikepacking experience? That’s awesome. Planning to go this year for my first or second bikepacking trip. What month did you go?
This was in July. Weather was perfect. 70s over night, I didn't take a tent and just slept in the open.
dang that looks great, would love to do that
Yeah it was awesome out there.

Need to use the gears more.

Cool! well done :)
very nice . thanks for sharing. why did you choose to ride from AITS back down to Avalon, and then back up the hill to go down to LH?
We planned to eat dinner in avalon on Friday night and lunch in town on Saturday. Mainly to give us something to do and keep us from packing a ton of food also alcohol and coffee was consuned. We mainly took snacks, breakfast food and a dehydrated dinner for Saturday.
@@DmofukinLee Sweet. I have rode this in three separate sections, but not the whole island at one time. Hopefully this month. Thanks again.
Yeeeeeeeeeee
Great adventures! Hoping for more to come 😊
good job. I do it differently as you could change a 27.2 to a 27.1 if one is not careful.
Hi, I love this bike, I'm about to get a second-hand one, exactly the same, I'm interested in modifying it, adapting it a bit to these times, keeping its original paint and the 26" wheels, I would like to know what modification you did to it, more specific, to give me an idea thanks.
All I did to this one was replace the cables and housing to get it braking and shifting smooth again. Got a new seat, pedals, grips and chain. Brakes are original along with crankset /derailleur. I changed out the handlebars with some random ones I had around for a bit more rise, because this bike is much too small for me. If you want to modernize the bike a bit, I recommend new brakes and upgrading the front end. Swap out the old style quill stem and get a quill stem adapter and a modern stem with some wider handlebars. You can look at some other bikes I have done that to if you look around my channel, or check out @enjoyplants on Instagram. Thanks for checking out the video.
@@DmofukinLee Great, thank you very much 😊
Do this if you don't value your teeth. What you ACTUALLY do with a rope (from years of doing the same with motorbikes.. Put the rope under the left side handle bar (in MY example NZ has front brake on the right)... then across to the right hand grip.. then 1-2 turns round the grip. Hold onto the rope turns with your right hand and use your left hand (and brake) as usual (Using the Rear brake to tension the tow as you will need to keep the rope taught on downward slopes and starting off / slowing down. If you run into trouble, lift your right hand and brake with the left at the same time. As soon as the rope has unwound, you can grab the right grip (And brake) as needed. If you have triple clamp forks you can put the rope on the right side inside the right fork upper. Don't put the rope directly to the right grip as it will be impossible to keep the rope from wanting to pull the grip out of your hand. Obviously for other countries that drive on the Right so have brakes on the left (Which is really dumb as motorcycles have front brakes on the right, so in those countries you can kill yourself if you swap from MTB to motorbike and grab a handful of clutch in an emergency). NEVER use your teeth. A small bump in the road could be all it takes for a slight tug on the rope resulting in hilarity for all (including your dentist) but you. and as for the toper.. as soon as the rope is dropped. Stop or you'll wear the rope round your rear hub etc. I've probably towed 20-30 motorbikes (Trail bikes i.e. YZ250 etc) using this method... even crash starting via this can work with 2 skilled riders.
Adding a chain tool to the EDC now 😆
I'm gonna be paranoid about my chain all the time now lol.
Expect the unexpected, what can go wrong will go wrong, and two is one and one is none. Hope you have some luck on your side from here on out, good day!
lololol let's go for a ride soon bro
Definitely man.
💥👍
Wow dude. David got hella lucky...that's a gnarly place to crash. Glad he was all good tho!
I know man, that trail is easy but has plenty of sketchy spots. Always been a fear of mine to roll off like that.
Holy crap that was crazy! Nice ride though. It's nice this time of year.
Thanks for watching man. The dirt is nice right now!
Nice tour vid bro! KC park is sick and it's super close!! Great shots and chill vibes!!!
Thanks man. Yeah I love driving through those canyons.
This was dope
Thanks for watching man.
"but are you crushing Strava times yet?" +_+
If they had a KOM for kids bikes, it would be mine.
That'd be a kids bike. Try a real clown bike! Hilarious tho !
Minute 7:00 is it 🤣🤣🤣
A cursed section of road for both of us.
Cool ride bro! Didn't know Amtrak had bike racks up in there.
Yep, bike racks on certain routes, and no extra cost to bring your bike.
sick bike!
Thanks!
I well wanna make one now
Pretty easy to do if you have the parts around!

I just realized you have bar tape on the inner part of the handlebars 😆
Yeah i had a bit left over after wrapping my Bullhorns. Found a good use for the scrap I'd say. I actually really like having something there to grip.
Lmaooo Flame on. Skids at the end were too funny
funny and sketchy lmao
Biking ASMR...bro, that shit was oddly satisfying 😎
Ahah well good, raw audio is the best sometimes.
Dude!....you've inspired me to get my 20 year old Specialized Hard Rock back on the trails! She's ready to go!
Nice man! Happy to hear it. I am actually gonna be working on another Hardrock this afternoon. Should be rolling soon.
I need some bar ends like those, where can i find them?
These ones have been on the bike since I ought it, and I assume installed early 90s. The brand is roost, and you can find some very similar vintage pairs on ebay for cheap, or most bike shops should have a couple different style options.
Nice little slingshot skitch brah!
I had put my camera away after filming, had a couple really long skitches after I stopped filming of course.
Just a casual cruise downtown...
Chill little Friday hahah
Shout out to the camera you're using. Go Pro? Really great looking spot in the lake you're at!
Thanks for watching dude. Go Pro 9, fully waterproof :)
Damn bro, you took the scenic route! Lol. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention watch out for those damn weeds with the spikes in them!
Ahah I was literally gonna text you today and ask if you saw that yet. I feel like you're one of my only viewers who really understands the conditions out there lol.
Sick new bike bro! Love the raw finish!!
Thanks dude. I really like the way it looks too.
