what was going on at 7:35? It looks a bit unusual to see a train stop at a crossing like that.
Damian Freeman Exchanging tokens for section of track ahead. They work on a one engine in steam at a time to avoid collisions. The name of the section is put on the token and the driver that holds the token [ Only on in total per section, Therefore only one train can be in a section. ] has sole authority to proceed through the section with the knowledge that it is clear of any other trains.
ashlandrailroad AH, I see. I'm aware of the one-train-per-section rule (quite a clever way to avoid collisions), though I couldn't tell that was what was going on, much less that the other side of the crossing counted as a different section :P I thought sections usually involved junctions or signal boxes.

NO, NO HE DIDN'T, HE HAD EDWARD THOMAS' ORIGINAL WINDOW ARRANGEMENT IN THE ORIGINAL TV SERIES AND THE CGI SERIES, THE ONLY DIFFERENCE OF THE CGI IS THAT THE MODERN SANDING DOOR OF EDWARD THOMAS WAS ON THE CGI VERSION, GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT.

@Chrisgodoflard Normal minimum age is 14 but there are groups for those under 14.
How old do you have to be to volunteer?
