The vibrant mixture of alternative rock and dark indie pop, that Letters Sent Home from Wolfsburg and Hannover, Germany, already established on their debut-EP sounds overwhelming. Fragile, vulnerable and intimate, as the topic of „Blue Lights”, the song too tells its musical narrative. “Blue Lights” shows Letters Sent Home’s calm and poppy face, which creates a goosebumpy-ambiance with it’s distinct post-rock elements. Though, the ending of the song surprises with an emotional change of harmony, which reveals elements of post-hardcore that might remember you on bands like Holding Absence. Audibly desperate, Letters Sent Home weave goodbye from a loved human and ignite captivating fireworks full of emotions. Fireworks that will snatch us into the emotional world of singer Emily, at least for a very short-while but intimate moment.
