Rare early Steve Martin stand-up routine from 2/15/1973. He performs for an audience of dogs and later does some card tricks for Johnny Carson.

Carl Sagan interviewed on The Tonight show in 1978. He discusses Star Wars, the search for extra-terrestrial intelligence, and more.
Only if carl Sagan would have seen *interstellar* 😮
I'm talkin' Arnal & Colonel Angus. that says it all you hippies
Sagan was a force of nature. It's hard to believe he shared the same planet with idiots like Donald Trump and religious morons.
Most Hotter Very Beautiful Cheryl Ladd 🤍 🎞️
wow, this terrible. how did he even get into comedy? nothing was funny.
Martin trying hard , like always
I dont get it. Star trek had a diverse cast.
Woke before wokism was a demonized thing from an increasingly regressive centrist intelligentsia.
Had a huge crush on Cheryl. Bought her album when it came out and still got it. She’s got a great voice too.
That’s sandy Dunkin’ , from tyler Texas.
And these days we have these total wastes of sperm and egg telling us what to think, what to do and who to vote for passing themselves off as entertainers. I would rather watch repeats of Carson, Letterman and Snyder. Much more entertaining.
Damn! Fallon doesn’t talk to guests like this, I wish late night was more informative instead of just a celebrity masturbation session.
Not funny.
Forgettable and forgotten.
Was Sagan the first to complain about Chewie not getting a medal?!

Sagan was a great science writer.
Funny! Looks like Sagan may have been fooled by the "Coco" scam!
Greatest comedian of all time.
lol Carl Sagan is so bitter about Hollywood messing up physics, yet he messed up mathematics. As a mathematician I want to posthumously take Carl Sagan to task. 1 is not a prime integer. The integers under addition and multiplication form a commutative ring with identity. The integers are classified as a Euclidean Domain, which guarantees that it has specific properties, like having unique factorization. With this in mind, we call the multiplicative identity element, 1, and its negative, -1, units. This helps us define unique factorization: it specifically means that we have unique factorization of every integer into a product of positive prime integers and an arbitrary product of units. If 1 were not to be a unit, but rather a prime, then we could write 6=1*2*3 and 6=2*3 as two different factorizations of 6 into a product of primes, which would contradict the idea of the integers having unique factorization. If the integers did not have unique factorization, then they would not form a Euclidean Domain, which would mean that we could not use the Euclidean algorithm to find greatest common divisors. It would mess up a lot of the arithmetic that we appreciate. Take that Carl Sagan! :D
Carl, the world needs you; there too many fools around..!
11:18 Sesame Street will save us.
I'm waiting until AI finds out the way to travel in time so I could go back in the 70s
I always answer to my son "let's look this up" and "maybe you'll find the answer in the future" and I never heard this interview or that kind of statement before. I just tell the truth to my son.
That's what I call ENTERTAINMENT
Love her natural blond hair! She is a great actress an so, so, stunning! Total Babe!
I wish I could back in time - 50's on, all over again .... "looks for a magic carpet" .. and Carl would just be starting out. 😎
Is this a Bill Murray segment?
Carl was such a strange person. 😂
Stop Demonization
2:43
People i respect i would have loved to talk to is steven hawkins and carl sagan and orsen wells etc
Why hands in pockets walking up?! Do skirts have pockets? Cheryl is not comfortable- I read it.
Carl Sagan is ignoring all the diversity in Star Trek and Star Wars. Race Hustling.
Carls son Nick is a fantastic writer. I was around when his trilogy came out. I worked where his mom lived & she helped him with editing. Quite an adventure.
Saw him on campus a few times 🎖
❤❤❤
Man, before TikTok or any short-form content - people just had longer attention spans back then. How have times changed😢
ThankYou4Sharing!!! ❤ 🕊 MuchLove!!!LOL 😆 🤣 😂 😹
This is a splendid interview, but the audio is badly out of sync with the video.
Please watch and share with others my four brief videos in which I present examples of scientific facts contained in the Bible, facts that the writers thousands of years ago could not have been aware of without divine knowledge given to them by Jesus Christ / The God of the Bible. And today's scientists agree with those facts!

Most people did not understand the first 30 seconds.

i met dave in 97 in the hello deli next to the sudio
i don't live in usa but I've watched the tonight show quite often over the years with various hosts. i enjoy the difference compared to uk shows.
Glad to see my two favorite late night hosts getting along so well!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This blonde bombshell is amazing 3.75
I've always loved listening to Carl Sagan but should also say I was very impressed by Carson. He asked the right intelligent questions and made the occassional joke but without in any way diminishing the importance of what Sagan says unlike a lot of modern talk show hosts interviewing scientists.
Good times!!!
