Huh? I dont know anyone who thinks "prepare for the real world" means, build them fantasy land and then show them reality. In fact I think it means show them, to the best of your ability grace and mercy, God's character and love towards us but then let them know "in this world, you will have trouble." Am I missing what this clip was supposed to be saying?

This is so powerful. Many of us don't discover how real and loving God can be until we experience some trauma. There is a saying, "You don't know that Jesus is enough until he's all you've got." I agree with this pastor. Get to know the Shepherd before you have trauma and let go of all those false gods, idols and addictions that give a false sense of security.

Service was so inspirational yesterday ....

I'm watching this again in 2024, because Pastor Spencer's devotion to the Lord is so inspirational! Even going through what I would imagine as an extremely difficult time, he continues to praise Jesus. It's very clear that he lives by the Word, as scripturee tells us, "Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us" (Romans 5:1-5, ESV). His sufferring continues to inspire hope within me, two years later. Thank you for being a true living example of what being a man of God looks like!

Trying to be a pastor preaching about god and here you are using an apple as an example like eve ain’t bite the apple and messed everything up. Bc she wanted an apple and god said no but women am i right. Beautiful creatures can’t live without them just like they can’t live without us but makes you wonder why men have “Adam apples” and women don’t. Makes you wonder if Adam ate the apple and eve took the blame. But all knowing god judged eve instead of Adam but he knew all along who really ate the apple that’s why man has an Adam’s apple in their throat🙌🏼mind blown
