3 Steps to Heal a Hangnail
Hangnails are just a part of the journey- no matter how much you try to stay moisturized. Here’s our method that takes you through steps designed to be soothing and care giving- even if you only suffer from an occasional hangnail.
Some advanced tips: The real reason you should only trim a hangnail (and not the whole cuticle) is that it’s critical to keep a seal between your nail bed and finger. No bad bacteria at this juncture makes for a healthy nail. Trimming too close with cuticle trimmers risks an accident where you may draw blood and cause this seal to break.
Remember- everything gently and allow for up to several days to heal!

    I have this and like using it but always get scratches on my nails on both hands and a patchy shine.

      Hi Livvy. Are you only seeing scratches on your dominant hand?

    Is this safe to use everyday? I imagine the glass polisher would wear down the nail and make it thin, so it’s not healthy...? Would appreciate an answer thank you!

      Hi there. No buffing should be be done every day... the idea behind buffing (both ours and other materials) is to wait until the nail grows completely back to dull. This is different for everyone, but we find a week is the average growth period. Our polisher removes the hard, superficial cell layer to create the shine. Waiting for your nail to grow this layer back before starting again is key. Hope this helps!

    I received a manicure kit for a gift and have used it twice. The shine I can achieve is lovely and as someone who doesn’t paint her nails, I absolutely love this product. However I’m still trying to figure out how to get my nails completely smooth and shiny. I seem to get small nicks on my nail’s surface. I’ve used your tutorial to try and get the proper technique down but I’m still struggling. Any additional tips to prevent nicks in my otherwise beautifully polished nails? Much thanks 😊

      Hi Traci! One thing to keep an eye on is make sure you are keeping the polisher as flat to the nail as you can. If you tilt it up at an angle, you are contacting the edge which isn’t ideal. Can you reach out to us if you need more help? Care@barehands.us

    I ordered the manicure kit last night and am eager for it to ship to me. I have become wary of traditional nail polish after checking out how toxic it is, but I like a finished look for my nails. I'm hoping this works as well as I think it will.

    Hey...can you paint on top of the polish surface without a base coat

    • @barehands9336
      @barehands9336 3 роки тому

      Absolutely! The polisher creates a smooth surface that’s a perfect primer for paint. When you remove the paint, it will still be shined and smooth.
