My phone kept blowing up. I have spent countless hours at the hospital with more time away from my family than I care to mention but I can tell you that my calling is and forever will be a nurse practitioner so that I can continue to care for and love on patients and their families like I did for you and Carrie. I am so thankful that I, Dr Tyler Black and Dr George Nelson got to be a part of your testimony. May God continue to bless you and anyone else whose life is changed.

    Hello Brothers, an exhortation if you will receive it. Your answer to this subject was given in the form of your opinions about scripture instead of scripture itself. Paul himself said I have been crucified with Christ that is no longer live. Like Paul, Saints no longer live in the flesh, but have become the very righteousness of God in Christ. And if we are the righteousness of God, then we have been spiritually perfected in him. We no longer walk according to the flash, but according to the spirit. As such, we no longer identify with our flesh, which has been crucified. We find ourselves in Christ and perfected in him. The capacity for sin is found in the flesh which Jesus already dealt with, and which has become our enemy. When the temptation arises, we identify that temptation as from an enemy, not from our own heart. And this is how we can walk as Saints through this life.

    • @theshepherdsstation
      @theshepherdsstation 3 місяці тому

      We appreciate your comment! Every word you said is true and is what we believe as well. Maybe we didn’t say it as eloquently however, we do believe that to be true. The main thing that we were trying to express is that we should never be so prideful as to say I will never “insert sin” because I am saved which can cause us to let our walls down and allow temptation to overtake us. Not being like the Pharisees and saying “I would never do that Lord.” Like we see in Matthew 23:30. Pride is the problem we are addressing here. We must crucify the flesh that does still dwell within us and must be crucified which is the process of sanctification the Bible also talks about. Also, if there is no flesh within us after salvation then what is it in us that does give into temptation from time to time? The Holy Spirit? We shouldn’t give into the flesh, just like you said, but it is a reality that our flesh is at war with God’s spirit within us even after salvation. We will not reach perfection until we meet Jesus or He comes back. However, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t strive for that perfection while on earth (I.e. our heart posture) I think we are both saying the same thing, it just comes down to how you want to word it.

      @@theshepherdsstation Thank you! I agree completely that we MUST avoid the sin of pride and all other sin. I simply think of that pride and all other sin as part of my enemy and not part of my own nature, now that I am in Christ. This differentiation frees me and clarifies things in my mind, allowing me to assign pride and all other sin to my flesh, and not have to constantly be on my guard against myself, but against my enemies (world/flesh/devil). For some, this change in thinking is semantic - but I have found it to be completely liberating! My whole life, I've heard pastors teach us to "keep our sin before us" or something like that, in an effort to remain humble. I've come to learn that if I'm "in Christ" I'm actually dead to all that came before. There is no more humble state than death - indeed, even death on a cross with my savior. And so, instead of my focus constantly pulled toward sin/inadequacy, my focus is on perfection in death and freedom to be who God has made me. This makes it far easier to stop sinning and kill/mortify the flesh. Because I know that my flesh is not who I am and therefore must be denied at all costs. Free indeed!

    I still dont know if heaven is promised to me now. And I am with God, see him all the time. When I see a sunset, a new born baby, tears of happiness and relief, a heart rhythm that comes back at work that has been flat for 10 minutes, people putting their lives on the line for strangers. Heaven or not definitely would still want to be with God. Today and ever after.

    Heaven isn’t promised to us. We have to carry our cross everyday, I can’t just one day stop praying and start living according to the world and think I’m going to get to heaven. Many people say I want to go to heaven, but if you’re not choosing Him now you’re already living in hell, so why would you want to be with Him for eternity if you’re not choosing Him now. Heaven is full communion with God, and if we want anything just even a little bit more than being in heaven with Jesus in eternity, we are choosing to be separated from Him forever. People don’t condemn you, Jesus doesn’t condemn you for he wants everyone to be in heaven with Him, we condemn ourselves.

      The main point is that christianity is about a relationship with God. God shouldn't be our means to heaven, He is the end. We aren't saying that heaven, as the Bible describes it as a literal dwelling place for God and His children, doesn't exist. We are simply getting people to question their motives behind being a christian. There are too many people who punch their ticket every Sunday because they just don't want to go to hell and they think they are good without ever caring to dive any deeper into who God is or what He has done through Jesus.

    • @jefferysotomayor1697
      @jefferysotomayor1697 4 місяці тому

      @@theshepherdsstation some you save through fear. And if that fear is hell then yes, it is in a way their ticket to not burn. I’m not saying you shouldn’t dive deeper with God. But if someone trust in the lord specifically so that they don’t end up in hell. I have zero issue with that. They place their faith in Jesus to save them from the punishment of hell by what he did on the cross. Amen to that. Nothing wrong with that

    What is the scripture verse for the claim "Heaven is the product..?" Heaven is described in Scripture as a real place just like Hell. 2 Corinthians 5:8: Reaffirms our true home. Philippians 3:20-21: Reminds Christians that their true citizenship is in heaven. I do like your question, which is unrelated to whether Heaven is a real place. You asked if we weren't promised heaven would we still be Christian, is God still desirable enough without the promise of eternal life. Personally, I didn't come to faith because of God's promises, but because of the realization that I was a sinner in need of a Savior, in need of redemption.

    • @theshepherdsstation
      @theshepherdsstation 4 місяці тому

      Yes heaven is an actual literal place as described by those verses; however, can God exist without heaven and can heaven exist without God? I would argue that heaven isn’t heaven if God isn’t there. Jesus did say that the kingdom of heaven is at hand in Matthew 4:17 which suggests that God through Jesus reestablished the kingdom of heaven on earth which we, as christians, are ambassadors of through Christ. So, where God establishes His kingdom is where heaven exists. Which you did recognize that the question: "Is heaven a literal place?" wasn’t what we were addressing. 👍🏻 It was simply a rhetorical question to get people to question whether their intent is pure when it comes to their walk with God. The main point is that God is not a means to heaven, He is the end.

    Romans 8:38-39 states For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 - nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of GOD, which is in CHRIST JESUS or LORD. One place in the Bible where there is proof that when GOD saves our soul through our faith in Jesus for our salvation, means that once we are saved we don't loose that. People may say, "What about those who say they are saved, even tell about their salvation experience, and live like they have no relationship with GOD. Are they saved? My answer: My salvation is between me and GOD. I do give evidence of my salvation and of course should. I and only I and GOD know what that relationship is. HE wants to use me in the Kingdom, and when I turn away from HIM he pursues me. Eric, you explained that in your life. So if a person does not show evidence of salvation, means their is a relationship problem which means my testimony, instruction, my behavior, my comments, whatever, is important to either bring them to JESUS in salvation or to turn back to the LORD, to come back to the LORD and reestablish that relationship. What does GOD require, OBEDIENCE and why because only GOD, knows the plan and HE just wants us to be part of that. Think of that, all powerful, all knowing, all present GOD wants to use me, use you to be a part in bringing more and more into the saving knowledge of JESUS CHRIST. I have heard and read in the WORD that we bring nothing with us on death, and I know that means physical. But each of us can. bring with. us those we share JESUS with and those we are part of changing their life.
