Black Seas Terrain - How to make Cannon Emplacements
Hello and welcome to another episode of Kolgarts Miniatures!
These cannon emplacements were made made with Foamecore, Sand, a mixture of pains and the cannons are from Hagen Miniatures
Paints used: Castellan Green, Mexhanicus Standard Grey, Dawn's tone, Gorthor Brown, Deathclaw Brown, Corvus Black, Vallejo Old Wood, Kislev Flesh

Here's how I made a crashed Jedi Starfighter for Star Wars Legion.       I would say just a tad larger for star wars legion, but it still looks great on the table with other 28mm terrain sizes. I would also say this is now best suited for Shatterpoint.

      Thank you! My channel has been a bit quiet recently, but more videos will be Comming soon! But for the shore gun emplacements, the rulebook states that they have the following stats, Size M Guns 1H Structure Points 10 Break Value 4 Points 40

    where did you get the parts for the wrecked ships from?

      They were from the brigs spru you get in the master and commander, fleet boxes as well as the frigates and brigs box sets 😁

      @@rcspaintserviceandgaming they were the ones that come in the set that you can build, I feel 6 brigs will be plenty when I grab a fleet box 😜

    As much as awesome the result looks, why not casting the toy to have a mold? Instead of destroying a collectors toy that is worth around 150$ on Ebay :( it hurts my soul but damn I'd love to get a diorama like this!

      Aha yeah I have never made a mold before, maybe I'll give it a go! But I bought this for £10 on Facebook, just had a little look and yeah they're going for high prices 😅 maybe a 3d print would also be cheaper

    You can also use the dry brush technique its very good when it comes down to making scratches

      @@KolgartsMiniatures great thanks, got an AT-AT I want to do something similar with. I've just gotten into Legion and there are not a great deal of inspiring terrain videos out there.

      @@jamesdarcy1548 I've been wanting to grab an AT-AT for song long, people sell broken ones very cheap online, but unwilling to post 😭 I think a chanel called OnTableTop did a terrain piece using the Hasbro toy.

    For the weathering, use powders, you wil have a more realistic effect. Otherwise very nice job mate..👍👍👍

    Is it styrofoam you are using??

      It's a type of Styrofoam I believe, it's call foamcore or foamboard, I have found it on amazon here www.amazon.co.uk/Cathedral-A1-Foam-Board-White/dp/B00BYT1KN2/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Foam+core+cathedral&qid=1621169413&sr=8-1 This is a pack of 10 A1 size, I can't seem to find the A4 which is a lot cheaper, but you could make a whole lot of terrain with an A1 size piece

      @@larscarlsen3702 im actually using Sand for the sand 😁 I would recommend a finer grade of sand and possible make a little mix

    Absolutely gorgeous! I think the black scorch marks looks great, thing really looks like it took a beating in the fight, and coming through the atmosphere. The only thing I'd have done differently is shaped or tapered the base differently, to blend in better on a war gaming table, as opposed to the square with hard edges.
