WOW❤
Thanks again, Adam! It's always great chatting about the best band in the land!
Thank YOU! Truly the best
I’ve seen 6 shows, all different, all great ❤ Including St. Louis, 3 1/2 hr drive
As far as Idle Wind, I think they almost always do it when in and around DC with the flute as a tribute to Kofi. And yes, it was off the charts!
Yes the DC connection!
Caught the Lewiston show.my only disappointment was I should have done more schooms and it needed to be on the outside stage.inside concerts are for winter time
Hehe I feel ya🍄☀
Much better sound and sightlines inside. Hope they NEVER play the amphitheater again. Ten times the energy inside. No "subscribers" and their "it's Tuesday, let's drink, who cares who's playing" mentality.
On the standing/sitting, I’m a HUGE TTB fan in my 70s with arthritic knees. I can only stand for short amounts of time and resent the idea that we’re not into the music if we sit. The truth is that a lot of TTB fans are in their “golden years” like me. Please stop making assumptions about us.
It took us 2 hours to get to the show being 24 miles from it. Only 32 minutes to get home. Besides Lollapalooza being set up and the street closures, the soccer game at Soldier Field, Trump was speaking to the NABJ at the Hilton on Michigan Ave. and making his ridiculous comment about VP Harris “turning black.” It was a nightmare getting down there!
Also I forgot to mention that Nobody is more hardcore than GRANNY TAMMY🎶🎼🎵🎸🎸🎸🥁🥁🥁 , I am thinking maybe I better start a podcast that comes from a place of wisdom 🙃🙃🙂🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
The GJ CO LIVE SHOW, was such a FANTASTIC EMOTIONAL RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE FOR ME, AND MY DAUGHTER MADE MY DREAM OF EXPERIENCING AND FEELING THE AIR MOVE FROM THESE TALENTED MUSICIANS, I FELT LIKE WE GAVE THEM A GREAT WELCOME SO ZAC FROM THE SECTION I WAS IN THE FRONT NEXT TO STAGE AND I AM A SUPER FAN AND I KNEW THAT I WAS ABOUT TO WITNESS THIS GREATNESS SO I GUESS BETTER SIGN OFF BECAUSE I AM FEELING A VIBE FROM YOUR GUESTS. WE MAY BE SMALL BUT I FOR ONE NEVER SAT DOWN AND FROM MY VIEW IT WAS HAPPENING I HAVE BEEN AROUND AND I LIVED THE 70’S. I WILL SAY THAT YOUR PANEL HAS MADE ME APPRECIATE MY AGE AND KNOWLEDGE O🎉F THOSE THAT NOT YET GAINED MY WISDOM, THANKS FOR A MENTION OF GJ CO , MAYBE WE ALL LEARN HOW TO EXPRESS OUR OPINIONS IN A UNOFFENSIVE MANNER THE SHOW WAS GREAT ONLY PROBLEM WAS FIRES FROM OUT OF STATES
You guys are great! Thank you. I think TTB is only going to get bigger. I was at RR Saturday and I 100% called Whipping Post after the percussion break, anyone listening heard it. It was a definite tease from the band. Thanks for the content yall! Keep up the good work. Don't worry about views. You should appreciate having a good arena to just chat with friends / fans.
Guilded Splinters for the win.
@@mondobutts5018 Appreciate the kinds words and support. Can't sneak a Whipping Post tease past us hehe. Thx again 🙏
TTB never disappoints, they're the best band out on the road.
Hey Adam! I have missed your podcast, but I have been locked out of my Facebook and Instagram accounts since the 4th of June!! And that's where I get info about your podcast. Anxiously waiting for the Columbia Maryland show! I am so sad that they switched the summer shows in The DC, MD &VA to Merriweather! Wolf Trapp is the East Coast Red Rocks! Keep up the awesome work and hope to see you in a couple of months!! ✌️❤️❤️🍄
Thanks Zack for sharing so much of sound details I never knew about especially factoring in the audience ... love learning more and more from your guests Adam, thanks! So far, seems Zack wins the TTB nerd award.
Terrific job gentleman! Spreading the gospel about the band is greatly appreciated by this "over the top" fan. On a side note, there is an ongoing debate amongst my ABB and TBB brethren about who is better live. Almost blasphemous, but I lean on the TTB side. Would be an interesting podcast topic for sure 😋
Appreciate that! How about TTB as 1 and Allman Bros as 1abb 😂
Yeah man, TTB do amazing Stones covers. Mattison kills it. Really hope I’m lucky enough to get a Monkey Man in August.

Great job Flamm! Nice flow of the interview and it was great to hear about Adam's early musical and TTB journey. And as always, thanks for plugging local musicians and supporting live music!!
Thanks Mariah! This turned out great I think 🙂
Thanks 🌺 for a wonderful TTB conversation! Have been imaginning if money no object, buy my own travel bus ... so NEVER miss a live show!
You're welcome -- That's the dream haha
great job guys! Thanks to you both for your contributions to the community!
That really means a lot, appreciate it
Wow, had no idea it was Derek's birthday Saturday. No wonder it felt like a huge celebration! I LOVED the intimate experience so much, I want to become a TTB groupy nerd at 74 now! Anyways, was good to meet you Adam last night. As you know I had a center pit seat about 5 rows back from stage and was blown away, as my first TTB live show. The Greek pit has it's pros & cons. Pros for me was being up so close and completely flooded and consumed with the intensity of it all was completely mind altering. However, there were some very large boomer vets that were standing most of the time in the rows front of me that was very annoying as they did not care about anyone behind them ... but luckily I could resort to the live screens to see what I could not directly see. I have watched hours and hours of TTB videos on youtube and saw that Derek rarely smiled as so deeply focused on his and everyone else's playing. But last night he was so happy, big smiles ... and once we locked eyes for a few moments of pure JOY! And yes, Circle and then Pasaquan launched me into some other world that I never wanted to leave! Loved the guests! Alisha was soul stunning. And because being a boomer who listened to Bonnie Raitt lots in the 70's, loved hearing Susan sing it so beautifully. Also, always love the way Derek so openly looks at Susan so adoringly is the icing of pure love. In fact, I felt so much love and like they are all family somehow. Wish I had the money to follow them to all their shows.
It was great meeting you! You are a character and I'm glad you got to see your first TTB show live. Special stuff.
The sad part of Dickeys passing is that it won't be celebrated the way it deserves to be through either Dickeys wishes or a family decision.I believe the fans deserved to have had the chance to celebrate his legacy, but it is not going to happen.Fare thee well Ramblin man.
Thanks for this one! Getting so excited for my first time live on the 9th!
Was only able to make the second Seattle show this year. Had so much fun!! Was able to do the stage tour with Bobby before the show and if I remember correctly he said there were 2 full size tractor trailers and 4 tour busses in play right now. ALSO -- HUGE THANK YOU TO MARIAH and CHRISTOPHER for recording 4 of the shows on this leg. Nice work it sounds good!! - Dean
Good stuff all around, thank you for sharing! Best band in the land!
@deanLijoi awesome you have been listening to the shows! So glad they turned out well!!
💞 Promo sm
Topeka is customer standards! Chick-fil-A and Publix should call them ❤
Ha -- Apparently the Topeka people are as nice as Trader Joe's employees though!! 😂
I passed on this completely.( it was 45 minutes from my apartment). I just did not want to go see my favorite artists performing songs in a vein, and by an artist , that I just don't care for . It wouldn't have mattered how well they did. It happens, I guess.
Supposedly will be aired eventually on PBS
Thank you all! I was in row R center orchestra and the show was magical Friday night.
Row 5. Sorry
@@donnacorazza3469 Glad you had a great time there and you are welcome!
Excellent conversation at such a difficult time. The Brothers and extended family is definitely real, as is music being a great healer. Ride Easy Brother Betts. 🍄
I will always picture leaves falling during that part in Jessica. What a great story Andy.
Too bad these guys can’t eliminate the echo chamber!
I was able to clean up the audio a bit on the audio versions on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, if that helps. 🙏
In Memory of Dickey Betts
Thanks for doing this!
Hang in there guys, this is about as close to home as it gets. RIP Dickey, and I'll see you cats at the Greek in L A. Again thanks for the tunes....peace✌️
Great to hear the different takes about Dickey. I was lucky enough to travel on his bus from NY to NJ. While everyone else slept, he and I chatted for hours. He had so many layers and I will be forever grateful for hearing his side of things and spending quality time with this musical icon.
Thank you so much for sharing that Tami! Very cool you got some time with Dickey.
@@adamchoit - yes, really special moments!
High Falls has always been my warm up song on bass & behind In memory of Elizabeth Reed the best instrumental in his long career..Many bands today are still playing Dickie Betts songs..Mx personal favorite is the Allman Brothers live at Greatwoods 98 w/ Jack Pearson..Jack set a fire under Dickies ass & it clearly shows..Dickie pulled out all his chops when playing with Jackie Peason...Looks like Jaimo is the last man standing..Hang in there Jaimo & R.I.P. Dickie Betts🍑
Good stuff -- so much talent in the ABB!
Thank you for this. A great musician and great loss.
You are welcome! And I agree!
R.I.P. DICKEY 🙏 SYMPATHY TO BETTS FAMILY
WOW great Job Chris and Mary! We will be seeing them in Sept in Nashville!
This is excellent!
The best live band I have seen - and I've seen a lot of artists.
I went to this concert. (2nd night) I last saw TTB at Byron Bay Bluesfest in 2016. This bettered that performance (if that's possible). Loved their version of Caravan - the Van Morrison hit. Great arrangement and yes, I'm a real fan of Van. TTB have made Anyday their own. It is just so good. The audience was on the older side and were "respectfully" quiet. A really good moment was the drum solo. Drum solos can get repetitive and boring. This was brilliant - one of the better drum solos I have seen. If I compare 2016 to 2024 I would say the main difference is in the vocals. They are now using Mike, Alecia and Gabe a lot more. And to good effect. The best live band. I sat next to a couple who were regular concert goers and got tickets - they hadn't seen TTB before. They were blown away. Went home on the Manly ferry and sat next to another group who were first timers to TTB. They were impressed. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for sharing all this! Sounds like an amazing night! Wish I was there! Kinda feels like I was now!
Hello....
TTB changes you! Ulf, thanks for sharing your spiritual journey with them and us. 🙏
Dan the man, doesn't it just?! I'm still blown away and glad that I'm not the only one as it has been a bit difficult to place after 5 decades seeing and listening to great music - where on earth do they get that extra from?! Amazing - a spiritual journey indeed. And thank you for this very warm welcome to the Swamp family - what a find!
Ulf, it's a wave of energy that found you and will just keep building. Pay it forward. We're all connected. I am in Colorado, already anticipating TTB's ascension at Red Rocks. The end of July can't come fast enough! ua-cam.com/video/ShymVaosyl0/v-deo.html
The band needs to fly Ulf to the USA for a run of shows! Love his new energy and vibe!
I agree! And same!
🤣 You're one of a kind David, thanks brother, what a crazy warm welcome! I'm sure our paths will cross one day at one of their concerts, here in Oz, in Europe or wherever we manage to get back to the source! Until then we've got Adam the master blaster on his podcast uniting the swamp family across the continents!
@@adamchoit You're the man Adam - if anyone deserves to get close to these living incarnations of what music and life is all about it's you! Thank you for what you're doing for all of us out here brother!
@@Ulf-xi4zh Wow thank you! You are a kind man and we're all excited for you as you dive deeper and deeper into this amazing music!
Guy!!!!!!
Great slide players all but you didn't mention Derek's Trucks biggest influence...Duane Allman..That's a " tough" one to remember I suppose.🍑
Gabes dad & moms collection reflects mine as a kid & even now at 65..And I hear it all agin everytime I play TTB..🍑
Great interview - love hearing about Gabe's process. Kofi would approve! Yes, Kofi used to practice with the cardinals, imitating their sounds!
Wow thanks for having Gabe on, he's such a perfect addition to the TTB family and I actually have a musician friend who knows Gabe from living in Nashville
