I've never figured out the tea party lol... I know what they want you to do is take classmates up to the conservatory either in late April or early May (not sure which) and Miss Strawe is evaluating you on how much and how well you've done this. A good tea party in the conservatory involves them being impressed by your decor and liking their food. (Each classmate has a category of food they like.) But I don't know how much you're supposed to do this and if it's supposed to be with a bunch of different classmates. They explain it before class in late April but like most things in this game it's not exactly clear 😅

god i remember i used to love derrick when i played this game in english, i did everything i could to befriend him so we could be best friends, but his personality type is just too hard for it and never managed to do so. now i only play the japanese titles and i wish i can meet him again soon

Im not totally sure what that purple door is, but it's not important. I think it's used in multiplayer or something Be sure to save one of the matches that you get from the next Mystery! But you only need to save one.

I'm really sorry, but you have to summon him *again* after teaching him the right way for the mystery to be complete. You'll know when you completed the mystery because it will do a little cutscene saying "You solved the mystery!" :( Some of these are really hard, don't be afraid to look them up even ahead of time to solve them. There's a wiki called Enchanted Bros that has solutions for all the Mysteries. It's tough to tell, but Holly was accusing you and Duke of competing for someone's affections. Lol. You kinda have to check who the accuser is facing and who sweats. I guess Duke got scared out of town!!

I agree with Aurora. They should settle it with rock-paper-scissors. I think that's how real lesbians do it Also yeah you can just walk up the conservatory alone to put furniture around it. Daisy's Flowers sells "outdoor" furniture but you can use regular furniture too!

Not to be rude or anything but what are trading cards for is it just for collecting or do you use it in the game

UA-cam keeps deleting my comments so I'll try splitting them up. (Sorry if you're actually getting all of these.) Dang, sorry you keep running into trouble with the mysteries. I know it never explains things. This time the problem is that the classmate has to come to you to talk about the mystery; they'll say something like "(your name!)! Listen!" or "This is terrible!" It actually happens easily if you wait near them but talking to them repeatedly won't work. Feel free to ask me in real time if you're having trouble with a mystery through a UA-cam comment or something. I suggested another way but maybe that's why UA-cam is filtering out the comments. Sorry you're having trouble but you're doing awesome and I'm really enjoying the videos!

The Fungi Forest is indeed that inner room with all the mushrooms. The rest of the forest is just the "woods." You can decorate the conservatory! Just not when someone's with you. You can even put food on the table to have during a tea party. By the way, if you're hanging out with Janet or anyone else, try whistling some music and see what happens! That's probably the most passive-aggressive note I've ever seen in this game, I died laughing Sorry for the trouble but you're doing awesome and I'm really enjoying watching!

I'll warn you December is FULL of seasonal mysteries so it's almost impossible to activate Mystery Time yourself for the whole month and even a week into the New Year. It really frustrated me in my Let's Play last year lol

Dude you killed this one, congrats. Sorry it was so difficult and required so many play sessions--don't worry, this is by far the hardest Mystery at least in my memory. Finishing it was really impressive. Unfortunately it was a little harder for you than it usually should be because you tried to make the materials before even talking to the dragon. If you did it in order, Malila's work request would repeatedly change to the material the dragon needs, so you would only need to give her one ingredient and she would make and hand you the material. It is a lot harder and more confusing to make materials otherwise outside of work, but you did it that way correctly at least--you select the material in her list and she'll tell you what she needs, and then you sell her I believe multiple required ingredients (duplicates allowed) and then you leave and come back and she'll have the finished material on her counter for purchase. Luckily she had the ancient dragon scales on the counter already because making those is HARD. In the future if a Mystery requires a material, Malila should have that material as her work request so it's not so hard to make. You just might need to make some progress in the Mystery to where you need the material for her work request to change to it. Giving the gravestone guy Shade Remains is a lot less important than it seems and there's not much reward for it, but you can definitely still do it if you want to.

Cool episode! I'll warn you, the next mystery can be VERY hard, especially because you didn't catch critters during the Mystery Time beforehand, because the game will have you making three different materials through Malila's work. If you don't wanna look it up, keep in mind that you'll probably need either an emerald, aquamarine, or sapphire for one recipe, and those can all be *very* difficult to get from fish or bugs outside of Mystery Time. If you want to still try, here are the ways I think they're currently available: From a quite big or very big Oarfish - Oarfish are available at the beach, island, or cave from 7 PM - 10 AM From a legendary size lobster - found at the beach/island at the same time From a legendary size spiny lobster - found at the beach/island all day From a legendary size ginyanma dragonfly - found flying in the woods from 4 AM - 3 PM You also might get lucky if you use the treasure hunt spell in the caves to find buried ores/gems. The spell is "Magic-Secret-Seek" and you can do it even if you haven't learned the spell in class. I hope this isn't spoilery information, just wanted to warn you if you get stuck. I think you have about 6 days to do a mystery before it ends, but it's not a big deal if you don't complete it. You might need to look up some help online for this one. Sorry I would've said something earlier, I didn't realize you'd move onto the next mystery so fast!

Hahaha the explosions scare the bejesus outta me too. The dormitory doors are weird, they just happen to link up to other students' rooms some of the time. I can't believe your girlfriend is cheating on you with a cell phone. I hope it isn't true...

Those big fish are basically a difficulty all of their own! When you're reeling in, make sure to mostly stop tapping when the bobber is splashing because if you tap too much it will snap the line. However when the bobber is not splashing, you need to tap like HELL because that's the only way you'll reel it closer. When fishing, there's a limit to how fast you can press when it's splashing, and then there's no limit when it's not splashing. With big fish, the limit is much lower and then how hard you have to mash when it's not splashing is much higher. It's really hard so don't feel bad!

I didn't know you could keep doing his trick to get more furniture--cool! Your room is looking sweet! If you keep getting rid of all the mushrooms they should eventually stop. I still get like 1 or 2 occasionally but it's no big deal. I'm pretty partial to red Twizzlers and Reese's cups...

Usually ocean Mystery Time fishing is the most lucrative. I don't mind watching you turn them in, I usually keep it in when I record Magician's Quest but sometimes I cut it if I am doing a bunch of hauls in the same episode

When you hear weird noises in your room (screaming or whistling), they're coming from next door! You can try the door next to yours to see who's making the noise. Congrats on your first tune! If you whistle near your classmates, they might join in with other instruments. You can also whistle to Piquard in the music section of Harrow's department store (upstairs on the right) to order the CD version of the song. Aurora was my girlfriend for several months in my playthrough and she just left my town a few days ago... Looks like she went to your town! Hope she has fun there :)

Yeah, Malila sometimes sells the stuff she wants 😆She's... very old and forgetful in her old age You're right that the guy who buys berries is the one who's in the haunted house every day divisible by 3 Mystery Time is blocked right now to prepare for the Halloween mystery. That Mystery Time is scheduled for October 29th-31st so you need to play two of those days to do it, one day for Mystery Time and one to do the actual Halloween Mystery quest after. That's a tall order though so don't stress if you miss it

Captain Dot is on the island every Sunday, so don't worry. The letter is just to let you know. Learning a song takes a while, you have to be standing around doing nothing when it finishes a loop which can take several minutes. It will tell you when you've learned it. To whistle, open your inventory then click on your character instead of your item. Congrats on your first spell! It is a great feeling to use them on a character who has ticked you off. If you're in your dorm room and you hear whistling or screaming, you can go next door to see who it is! Oddly, the dorm room doors connect to other places in weird ways.

You did Mystery Time right! The main things are just the rare creatures, extracurricular class, and garage sale (if you feel like trying to trade furniture, but they are picky). You're right and it's tomorrow/the next time you play when the town will go back to normal and the mystery quest will actually begin. I'm behind in watching so it looks like you already saw that in the next episode :)

Those Trading cards are awesome! I unfortunately didn't get them. I pre-ordered from Gamestop and got the stickers instead. If I knew about the Walmart pre-order bonus sooner I would have done it from Walmart for those Trading cards. Do you think those cards will be sold individually eventually? I own Trading cards for New Super Mario Bros Wii and Mario Kart Wii. They are from the company enter play. Are those Mario Wonder cards made from the same company or is it a one time exclusive with the Walmart Pre-order? I want to get some of those cards.

Mushrooms are year round, but the kinds of mushrooms and the times they spawn depend on the season! Spells are pretty optional but they add to the game and can be fun! if you do them when hanging out with your classmates they will do them too. I dont think running scares fish away... Not that i've noticed anyway... Yeah berries can be very lucrative as long as you can sell them before they rot! If not, you can plant them to multiply them or store them in your cupboard. I think that is the only way to store them without risk of rotting. To learn music, just basically be standing still doing nothing when a song loop ends. It can take a few minutes to reach the end though There is not really an ending to this game... Even if you complete all 50 mysteries which would be pretty insane, you can still activate Mystery Time anytime you want after that, so don't worry, you can't really run out of Mystery Times!

The game seems to be running smoother. It looks a lot better too! The mushrooms are sort of like weeds from Animal Crossing but in your room. It's weird that you have so many though. I think a classmate must have cursed you. If you keep clearing them out and throwing them in the garbage (faster than selling them) they should eventually go away. Sorry about that part, it kinda sucks. The decorating controls are very confusing because they're not like Animal Crossing at all. It's: A - pick up an item X - use an item (like a bed or storage) hold B then move - move/rotate an item drag an item from your inventory onto the room - place an item. This won't work if you already have a lot of stuff in your room including mushrooms or if you have somebody visiting Most fish/bug rewards are just to sell. A small number can be used for incantations but I wouldn't worry about that until you actually learn about it The World Tree incantation isn't very useful, but when it says "Fungi Forest" it actually means the tiny little cove *inside* the woods. So use the incantation outside that little doorway in the bushes, wait til it says you succeeded, then enter that doorway. I have never gotten a good rating from the tree though The party popper and flatulent spells are easier if you wanna give them a shot!

If your controller is bluetoothed to your computer, I think you can get DeSMUme to work by going into Controller Config on it and pressing on your controller for each button to set up controls. Mystery Time is blocked right now because of the Mushroom Hot Pot event in the woods, because if a mystery quest happened in the woods it would conflict so instead it just blocks Mystery Time altogether. You'll be able to activate Mystery Time yourself starting October 9th because that's when the Hot Pot will be over. To do the Hot Pot event, you just have to give him like 50+ non-poisonous mushrooms, but it's not really worth how much time it takes lol. You can rank up as a wizard through the evaluation or get special achievements, but that happens more after you've played for longer and done more stuff. I think the reason you weren't able to catch that fish is that you weren't RIGHT up against the water. The game only registers a catch when you pull the fish close enough to you, so if you aren't standing at the water's edge it can get stuck. You can also fish at the ruins pond and the cave and yes, you turn them into the blue book and sell the rewards. That's one of the best ways to make money. There isn't much to the island tbh, sometimes you need to go there for a quest or rare bug. If you listen to songs at Limelight, you can learn them to whistle and play on instruments! If you're bored I'd try to hang out with classmates more (I bet Janet will ask you out if you hang with her enough) and maybe try playing some songs--just ideas! The locked door in the haunted house opens every third day (Oct 3rd, 6th, 9th, 12... etc.) You can sell berries in this secret room for a lot of money, but it's tricky because they may rot before the room opens. The three teachers will rotate classes each hour, and they'll teach a new class each week. I don't know why Marcy's face at Limelight was having a seizure. I hope she's ok! Sorry for these long comments but thanks for playing this game even if it's confusing sometimes! I'm having a lot of fun watching!

Don't worry, you're doing awesome! Sorry if the game is confusing... Some of the game's incantations can be picky to pull off because they're very particular about the steps and order. To do the Phantasm, incantation: 1. Stand facing right to the stall door in the boy's restroom (You had this right) 2. Say the runes "Incantation-Play-Boy-Bathroom" (You had this right too) Once you say the runes, you will start sparkling. Do NOT wave your staff by pressing X and do NOT say the runes a second time; doing either will cancel it and you'll have to start over. 3. Go into your inventory by pressing L and still facing to the right towards the stall door, hold the red tulip by dragging it from the inventory onto your character. (It didn't just mean "have" the red tulip, it wants you to actually hold it out. A couple incantations will ask you hold out a material to perform it) This should do the trick! Spells like the flatulent spell are easier. You did that one right, you just weren't around anyone when you performed it so you couldn't use it on them. Congrats on your first catches! You did great! I've seen a lot of players struggle a lot more figuring out how to catch fish. Unfortunately for both fish and bugs you have to exchange them through the books at the tower before you can sell them for money. Besides selling mushrooms, this is one of the best sources of cash. If you do it during Mystery Time, you'll probably make more because rarer fish and bugs come out. I won't lie, Mystery Time is annoying because you can't always activate it. Normally after a Mystery Time, you have some time to solve a quest, but I think the quest that showed up for your last Mystery Time is over now. Either way, it's not going to let you activate Mystery Time right now because a Mushroom Hot Pot event is going on within the forest. It ends on October 8th, so from October 9th on you can use the key again for Mystery Time. Around October 22nd it will block you again to prepare for the automatic Halloween mystery. Reginald will sometimes tell you Principal Sol wants to talk to you about your grades, but this is just an automatic reminder to get your grades evaluated once in a while. It's not important and you don't have to do it. To get evaluated, just ask for an evaluation when you talk to Principal Sol. (I think it's the one option you didn't choose.)

You were right - pink sky is Mystery Time! A couple special things happen during Mystery Time like extracurricular classes, a garage sale, and rare bugs and fish appear. (Press 'R' to get to your bug net and fishing rod by the way.) Mystery Time can be triggered yourself by that key but most months have a special mystery at the end that happen automatically, so this was September's mystery triggering when you finished your classes. After Mystery Time ends at the end of the night, a "mystery" happens where a special character or something will show up for a few days. Classmates will give you hints on how to solve the mystery. It's basically a side quest. For this mystery, a character will appear at the ruins pond on the left side of town and want to play music with you. 0 p.m - 12 p.m. actually is trying to say noon til midnight. I know it makes no sense! But use this setting if you want to be able to take classes between 8 p.m. and midnight. 8 am - 8 pm is more for people who play earlier in the day. Towns are all the same layout, but your classmates will be different. Ghosts are just pests that try to spirit you back to your dorm. You can avoid them or defeat them with a farting spell. (Yes, really.) If you need the farting spell but can't learn it from a class, you can look it up online. But it's tricky to pull off so you can just avoid them. I think if your controller's bluetooth is already connected to your computer, you just need to go into the controller config in DeSmuME and click each button in the setup and then click the corresponding button/stick direction on your controller. As for what to do, you're making progress! I'd try learning how to catch bugs and fish sometime. Warning: catching fish is different than in Animal Crossing and is more about button mashing. I'd also check out all the shops and maybe talk to your classmates more and maybe see if there's any you want to get closer to. The locked door in the haunted house unlocks every 3rd day (so the 3rd of the month, the 6th, the 9th, the 12th, etc.)

Dude. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to see you check this out!!! Sorry if I'm about to type too much info When Janet asked to "go play" with you in the classroom, you agreed to hang out with her. Unlike in Animal Crossing, you can actually "hang out" with your neighbors and they will follow you around and do stuff with you. They will eventually get bored if you stay in an area too long or you can press X towards them outside to end the hangout early. (Some things like going to class also end hangouts.) As for how to "progress," the main thing is to get through the tutorial classes. There's quite a few. After that the game will let you take regular classes (3 offered per week but 1 an hour) and let you start "Mystery Time" which triggers little quests to do. However, the game is very freeform and you can make friends or date classmates, catch creatures, cast spells, and do lots of stuff at your own pace. It'll make more sense as you get into it and find more things to do but you never *have* to do any of it. You don't have to play every day, but there's a lot of different stuff with different timeframes. Each month has different fish/bugs (seasons do change), each week has different classes, a special shop opens every third day, and there's other quests and interactions depending on the time. I usually play every 3 days, but if you want to form and keep a relationship you might want to play a little more often. Less is fine too. I am not sure why the game is so laggy but might be worth trying a different emulator. I use DeSmuME and it runs well (you can see on my channel). I think you could transfer your save data over.

Just caught up... I really loved this series! Will miss watching it to chill out before bed. Thanks for the great playthrough! It's crazy some cool villagers like Peanut and Bill made it for 100+ episodes. And some annoying ones like Belle too. I'll definitely keep watching other vids, and I don't have a lot LP-watching friends to tell, but I have mentioned your channel on my own. :) Cheers and thanks again. I'm gettin all nostalgic. I've really loved watching this series over the past year. My favorite thing to watch is doing favors for villagers, maybe you could just do some of those! I also think if you wanted to push Belle around or smack her with the net a bit, you'd be morally justified in doing so since she never moved. Just some ideas though lol, do whatever you want to!

I can't think of many one-year ideas, but maybe you could make a design? Even if it turns out terrible, that's half the fun. The other half is posting it at the Able Sisters and seeing who wears it! (Or you could put it on a sign too.) You could try drawing your channel logo or a 1st birthday cake or just anything really!

Sadly the snowballs disappear after February 17th when the trees get green again :(
