I enjoy the doll series and I believe I saw rumors that Ken and Daisy were coming out in the next line. That could be fun to see. I wanted to like the show, especially if it was a cartoon, but the promotional videos I saw on UA-cam are not my cup of tea in the animation looks very cheap like it’s made with AI.

They are colorful and fun, but there is not much info about them, and the info I see is not necessarily validated…the one source that was “officially” documenting them (their Instagram) deleted everything and started over with the latest new line.

@@thedollbusiness what comes up for me as the company is JieYang Defa Toy Co., Ltd - it says they founded in 1990 and have a 50 thousand square meter workshop. I don't know if that's helpful (or accurate, this is the Internet after all) but it's interesting to me 😄

No, the dream Bestie line is available in a couple different locations, such as Canada, Australia, UK, and Europe. I would look at stores like Kmart, W, Target, if you have them or places that stock dolls. @@Bluelupus Hi I wouldn't say rare as there play line and mass-produced (excluding the exclusive ones of course) but very collectable with collectors so in turn can be expensive depending on condition

I agree…outside of the pixelation, these head molds (at least for Arista and Aquata) are near ideal. The pixelation of recent years serves a detriment to the experience of doll collecting. I’m kind of curious why we only see it on Barbie and Disney and not Monster High when they’re all produced by the same parent company, but I’m guessing that recognition and possibly the idea that “it will move off the shelves no matter what,” coupled with the pixelation is probably less expensive, is the root cause.

Thank you! I purchased a mic based on feedback from the comments! Having said that I have a couple videos I already shot pre-mic and have yet to upload, but every newly filmed video going forward should have better audio.

Interesting, thanks for the comment! I see what you mean about Raindbow High (for the most part). I don’t collect RH, but I have some whom I purchased for the clothes. I like the Dream Besties much more than the Barbie Extras (who were pretty over the top most of the times in terms of garments and accessories). I don’t see the clothes as vulgar, but I guess you mean that a lot of skin is showing? I like that the clothes are mostly monochromatic and simple…and look a bit more like real clothes people may wear casually (with some modifications or for example without the heart piece). I also don’t see these faces as masculine at all-they are adorable to me, and the faces are one of the most appealing aspects of the line (despite that I’m not a “big head” doll collector).

Can you tell me what you mean by the plastic being not good? I was mostly surprised by the quality because it’s better than what I have seen from Barbie recently. The makeup is a lot…and in general I prefer a more natural look. Like I love the Teresa doll face, but would also like her without three colors of eyeshadow, stars & moons, and red lips. I like the clothes, but yes…some of this could be “club wear” style clothing (esp Teresa) if you were to see it on a real person. With some modifications, or paired with other clothes, I really like the clothing (except for Brooklyn) overall (when considered with other pairings)-just prefer it fit made to move Barbie as well.

@@thedollbusiness Thanks a lot, dear. You did more, than you might guess with this review. I never saw that many Defa Lucys in one review and the downside is - the dolls' faces side by side look alike - more or less. There are a lot of individual items I like that are worth buying. But there is the quality issue which is OK consering the price points - as you mentioned. For someone who does a lot with dolls e.g. rerooting they are a hit.
